I believe that most of the garage door companies in the Dallas area take advantage of their customer's ignorance. Price gauging is common along with upselling and scare tactics. Most people have little knowledge of their garage door or opener, only that is goes up and down likes it's suppose to. If not, they call the local con-garage door service company. Why can't people get a quote over the phone? Technicians want to come out to your house first. Why? To see how much they can squeeze me for? If I drive a Lexus, do I pay more? Hide the car honey, a service tech is coming out this afternoon. This happens in all fields of work. Get as much from the customer as you can. Why be fair, when there is all that profit potential? Where did customer service go to? When did it actually die out? All I want is a fair shake. Service companies know their product and the cost to repair or replace it. They're professionals for crying out loud... Aren't they? The company I used had their prices posted on their website and guaranteed Quality service.
