Title should say it all. I waited well over an hour, and after getting my prescription I went to Lenscrafters. My prescription was for single vision. Within a couple of hours after getting my new prescription glasses, I started to get a headache. I thought maybe it was because I drove home at night wearing my new glasses prescrition. When I experienced the same thing the following day, I took the glasses back to Lenscrafters. They checked and confirmed that the prescrition matched the one I recieved from "Stone Oak Ophthalmology". They also verified the pupil location on the lenes.
I went back to "Stone Oak Ophthalmology", and they down played my concern, and attempted to place the blame for my experience on Lenscrafter's. Their in-house glasses shope looked over my new pair from Lenscrafters, and they offered me another eye exam. I waited a little less than an hour, visited with the same person I had seen prior, and was told that the prescription was correct. She told me I needed to wear them longer so my eyes could get use to the new prescrition. This did not make sense to me.
I went home, did some web research for a popular optomogist. I visted the Alamo Eye Ranch, where I began to informed them of my experience. They agreed that I should not have to get accoustomed to a proper prescription, especially since my prescription was for single vision. They examined the Lenscrafters glasses, and checked my eyes. I was given a new, different prescription. The Optomologist at the Alamo Eye Ranch informed me that the Stone Oak Ophthalmology was considerably different.
After another $75 co-pay visit, and another $300 for another set of glasses lenses, I went back to Lenscrafters. The result was the clearest, best pair of glasses I had ever purchased. I wanted to go back to Stone Oak Ophthalmology to complain, and let them know what I had to go through, but after my initial experience of going back them, decided it would only result in more wasted time, money & effort
