I hope this review helps those previous to becoming a victim to this SHADY company.\r
I had 2 quotes. The 1st company(I will keep them out of this mess) so they don't get harrassed for standing up to this company.\r
The 1st company quoted me $750 for a new compressor install(compressor was under warranty) so this is for labor. NOTHING at this time was wrong with my FAN MOTOR\r
Until........\r
Then Jesus came with nortek mechanical and told me nothing was wrong with my compressor(when in fact it was my compressor all along) and that all I needed was a hard start. He spent over 2 hours here looking like he did not know what he was doing. He was puting a wire here and then there and then looking at a manual because he wasn't sure if the wire went there. So he turns my a/c on and then a loud noise happens and what do you know. HE-JESUS-halfway blew out my fan motor. Later to tell me we need to replace the fan motor and it will cost $320 for him to do it. When HE is the one that blew it out. NOTHING was wrong with my fan even the first contractor said this.\r
So after he left charged me $150 for a maintenance, hard start & labor for breaking my fan motor. The problem still was not fixed.\r
I called the first guy and asked him if he could come out and see now what is wrong with my a/c.\r
He came out showed me the problem-Jesus with Nortek Mechanical wired up my hard start WRONG and thats what blew out my fan motor and never fixed the compressor problem. I took pictures. This nice guy replaced the fan motor, my compressor and replaced the hard start and gave me the hard start that jesus put on WRONG for cheaper than the original quote,\r
I called Nortek Mechanical and at first his girlfriend told me should would be reimbursing me $80 back. A couple days go by and I have not heard anything. So I call and all of a sudden they don't answer my call. Must be that they see my number on caller ID. So I leave a message for jesus to come get his hard start and bring my money. No call back. So I call again and his girlfriend answers and tells me, ""You know you paid for labor"" in a snotty voice and I said, ""I'm not paying for him to break my a/c"" and told her never mind. I'm just going to file a complaint and hung up. Then I text Jesus what I was going to do and pictures of his shady work with the wires hooked up wrong and he texts back with threatening texts. So after texting back and forth to no avail. I tell him this is very unprofessional and that I was done talking with him. Now I am here and I will also be filing with the contractors state license board, better business bureau and any where else they have reviews on their business.\r

I just know Jesus sized me up when he got here. Mom with 3 kids, what does she know about a/c units. So he decided to up his sale and break my fan motor so he could make an extra $320. All my parts to my a/c are covered under warranty. He didn't even bother to look that up but the other a/c guy did.\r

I was a victim to this shady company. Please don't fall victim to them.\r

They also live in the 95351 zip code of modesto that is the highest crime area in modesto. It is considered the GHETTO. Abandoned houses everywhere. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!\r
