I work across the street from Nonna and was hopeful it would be a great place to take clients for lunch. From the street, the place looks classy and minimalist. Once you get inside however, it's slightly boring and seems a little culturally confused. (What's with the rock zen garden that just crowds the walkways?) Service was horrible. We had a party of four, no appetizers, and 50 minutes into our "meal" had yet to be served anything. (never mind the fact that 3 of us ordered tuna dishes that didn't need to be cooked!) Meanwhile, the table of 8 next to us, who clearly knew the owners, had been served wine, salads, and appetizers. We finally complained and they then proceeded to bring out the meal dish by dish. The person in our party who ordered the roasted chicken actually got theirs FIRST and we told her to go ahead and eat, so she was halfway through her meal before some of us had even been served. Food was nothing to write home about. My tuna was average. Certainly not worth the hassle and the time commitment (an hour and a 45 minutes) for a business lunch. I won't be going back.
Pros: convenient location to my office
Cons: service, food not worth the hassle
