Great Lunch! 5/23/2012

I went here for lunch a couple weeks ago and had a great time. The atmosphere is very pretty yet comfortable. They offered a great lunch special with soup, entree, and dessert. The musroom soup was yummy and flavorful! The fish and vegetables were very fresh and desert was top notch! I would go back here for lunch again anytime. Pros: null Cons: null more

Perfect Place for Lunch 5/22/2012

I came here with my coworkers last week and enjoyed a amazing meal! The best part about it was that they had a special lunch menu which gave me the option for a app, entree and dessert! I highly recommend it to anyone who wants tasty food and doesn't have to make too many decisions! Pros: null Cons: null more

Great lunch special! Parking not a problem! 5/22/2012

I work right down the street from Nonna of Italy and I have been frequenting their lunchtime specials. Great Italian food at reasonable prices in a very clean and stylish atmosphere. I saw someone post below about parking being an issue. Working here in West Hollywood and Beverly Hills, you can always park a block into the Beverly Hills neighborhood and walk a few minutes. The parking there is free and available for at least two hours. Pros: null Cons: null more

Excellent Food!!! 3/24/2009

They have a new chef here who Rocks! This place is going to be very popular once the word gets out. Ask the chef to make you something special or order right off the menu, the food is amazing. Pros: The food is delicious!!! Cons: What are the drawbacks? more

NO PAOLO, NO GOOD 3/5/2009

This a bad location for a restaurant...the last commercial space heading West on Sunset. Parking is difficult and the valet is not in front of the restaurant. As long as Paolo Giovanni was in charge of the kitchen, at least the food was good. Oscar personally provided good service, but most of the wait staff seemed like they just climbed over the border fence. Sitting outside with the noise and smell of Sunset Boulevard is torture for me, but good for those who smoke. If not for Paolo I would never have eaten here. Now that he's gone, so am I. more

Awesome food and ambiance! 1/28/2009

I love Nonna of Italy - great friendly atmosphere and absolutely delicious food: super fresh high quality burrata cheese, which is my favorite and not easy to find; great ahi tuna salad and yummy desserts. Patio made me feel like I was back to Sienna or Florence again. Server was very attentive and knowledgeable as well. 5 stars for Nonna any time of the day! Pros: Delicious food, great ambience Cons: none more

Feels Like Home 1/17/2009

Being in the restaurant business it is hard to find a place where you are made to feel welcome even on your first visit. Well Oscar ( General Manager) goes the extra mile to make each visit special. I have been back there 4 times and each time he mades sure the staff is attentive and sharp. From the pizza to the pasta, and meats give this place a shot. more

Fabulous Customer Service/Fantastic Food 7/5/2008

I have lived in Chicago, NYC and now in LA and I have traveled all over the world and I have to say, Nonna consistently rates as one of my favorite restaurants in LA. The food is delicious and always well prepared (the scallops special is divine), the staff is courteous and kind and eager to please, the ambiance is pleasant and the restaurant allows you to really enjoy your dining experience. I have tried many of the restaurants here in LA that are considered to be "hot spots" and have found the food to be merely an afterthought. If you really want to eat somewhere where food is the priority - Nonna is for you. Pros: great food, valet, friendly staff Cons: none more

Good to the last drop! 5/22/2008

Warm and welcoming, especially good for out-of-towners who may be used to friendlier service than that found on other parts of the sunset strip and for those who may be in search of bumping into celebrity clientele. Wait staff was wonderfully courteous and speedy. Food came in medium to large portions and was finger licking good! My nonfat latte came with a plate of biscotti that just told me Nonna is a place that pays attention to even the simplest and most appreciated details. Pros: Decor, extra large sliding glass doors and beautiful Patio more

Excellent!! 10/18/2007

We dropped by on a Wednesday night without a reservation and were warmly greeted. The restaurant was very busy but the host accomodated us quickly to a great table. For starters, this restaurant is stunning. Modern yet warm and cozy. Our waiter was extremely helpful and described the dishes in detail. The tomato soup appetizer was delicious. The pasta was cooked to perfection and portions were generous. They have a wide variety of beers and wine. Don't leave without trying the desserts. We can't wait to go back! Pros: Food, Decor, Staff more

Terrible service and mediocre food 9/2/2007

I work across the street from Nonna and was hopeful it would be a great place to take clients for lunch. From the street, the place looks classy and minimalist. Once you get inside however, it's slightly boring and seems a little culturally confused. (What's with the rock zen garden that just crowds the walkways?) Service was horrible. We had a party of four, no appetizers, and 50 minutes into our "meal" had yet to be served anything. (never mind the fact that 3 of us ordered tuna dishes that didn't need to be cooked!) Meanwhile, the table of 8 next to us, who clearly knew the owners, had been served wine, salads, and appetizers. We finally complained and they then proceeded to bring out the meal dish by dish. The person in our party who ordered the roasted chicken actually got theirs FIRST and we told her to go ahead and eat, so she was halfway through her meal before some of us had even been served. Food was nothing to write home about. My tuna was average. Certainly not worth the hassle and the time commitment (an hour and a 45 minutes) for a business lunch. I won't be going back. Pros: convenient location to my office Cons: service, food not worth the hassle more
