Nice Store, But Not My Style 3/20/2006

Nomadic Notions has a great selection of beads and findings for the beginner jewelry maker, plus a very helpful staff, and a schedule of classes covering the gamut that run year round. The store is sensibly arranged by color, making it easy to find what you're looking for. That being said, it is pricey, especially if you compare it to prices you can easily get online for beads and findings, and though I understand why it costs more to run a physical retail store, I have a hard time paying the prices. Plus, I tend to like the bigger selection of vintage beads and environment at Bead It. But you should give it a try and see what you think. more

Knowledgeable Staff, Peaceful Environment 9/13/2005

Being a newbie in the "make your own jewelry" department, I shied away from this place for quite a long time. I finally mustered up the courage to try it out and I was not disappointed. The staff was able to help me feel like less of a beginner by pointing me to books and existing jewelry for inspiration. They also helped point me in all the right directions once I figured out what I would like to make. I don't think there's a piece of jewelry you can think up that you wouldn't be able to make at this place. They have it all. more

Wonderful store 8/19/2005

I love shopping at Nomadic Notions. It is a small, funky store with tons of beads and decorative items for the home. I love how all the beads are arranged by color on the back wall – makes it so much easier to find them !! Their prices are great and the selection is outstanding. The staff is always happy to help you look for something. more
