Noise Music and Sound is a local Vandalia music store owned by Ed Taylor. I have been stopping in to buy things from Ed since my 7th grade year. It is a one stop music store with almost everything you need to be a local musician. I have bought things as small as guitar picks to things as large as my first electric bass guitar! Ed is an awesome musician and music teacher as well! I have taken both bass and guitar lessons from Ed. He taught me all the basics that I needed know, which has stuck with me all through my music playing. All in all it's a great store for musicians and I highly recommend all local musicians to stop by and take a look around! more

I bought my first guitar here. 4/15/2006

Noise Music & Sound is one of my favorite shops in downtown Vandalia. This is where I purchased my first guitar 2 years ago and I have been playing it ever since. Ed, the owner, even gave me lessons for a pretty great price. He is an amazing musician and certainly a great teacher. This is a great place to get all the basics you need to start playing. You can also purchases pieces for different instruments you might use in a school band(like reeds, strings, tuners, etc). It really is a good place to pick up all your musical needs. more
