In response to the previous post...........I was at Nikos that day sitting on the other side of the wall and heard everything that went on with the table. They never asked for separate checks. They wanted to use a coupon that they didn't even have with them. She did ask if everything was good. Remember it is not the servers fault if the kitchen takes too long to cook the food. They were rude to her. When she did bring the check, they rudely told her to split it, barking at her the whole time while she was explaining to them she wasn't sure if she could split it with the other coupon they had presented her, and she would get a manager. As for her adding a tip, if the coupon used was from the city pass book, the coupon itself clearly reads they will add a 18% gratuity on the bill before the discount. At the bottom of the menu, it states that they can add a gratuity to SPLIT CHECKS. NOW, that the poor waitress was SLAMMED to death, in this post. I personally have had KRISCHA wait on me and my business associates, NEVER once did she ever do anything like you described. She is an excellent waitress who does not get paid enough to deal with what servers have to go through. I frequent this establishment weekly. She is always my waitress and she is wonderful. Remember, there are 2 sides to every story, and while the original poster might have been upset at the length of time the order took to cook, slamming a waitress is just plain low. It seems like they wrote this while they were angry, maybe at the fact that they couldn't use a coupon that they didn't have with them, I don't know. But I heard them the whole time and they were not very nice people.
I love the food at Nikos, the service is great, especially when KRISCHA is waiting on me, I think the order to table is just right. Bill and James are wonderful!! Everyone makes you feel like family. If you are looking for a great authentic greek restaurant, Nikos is the place to be, and ask for Krischa, she will give you the best service.
Pros: Great food and service
Cons: nothing
