My husband and i were looking for a good suhi spot and came across Nikko. We were blown away from the first sip of our cocktail till the last bite of our steak ans sushi (super white tuna was amazing). The atmosphere was great and they had live music. The staff was very attentive and helped us with our experiments with new sushi ( the eel was great) We will definitely be returning again and again. more

One of the best restaurants in Katy. 12/15/2011

I never really liked sushi until I tried it at this place. They really know what they're doing in the kitchen, and the food is always superb. No matter what you order, you're probably going to end up falling in love with it. The staff is extremely friendly, and take very good care of their customers. In fact, my mother and I go so often we now have a favorite waiter that we ask for every time. I really recommend the Tornado and Sunrise rolls for beginner sushi eaters, because most of the fish inside is already cooked but you get a taste for it and can try more sushi if you like them. The sushi menu is so varied it's extremely easy to find something you like, whether you're a sushi connoisseur or just starting out. And if you're completely averse to sushi, there are plenty of other wonderful items on the menu to choose from. The desserts are to die for. I haven't had a dessert from there yet that I don't love. Pretty much, everything at this restaurant is near perfect, and I would recommend it to anyone. more

Did not expect this...!!! 10/20/2011

I did not expect this little resturant to WOW me. But it did..!!! Atmosphere, Food, Service were just all above par, the waitress was helpful and knowledgable about there food...asked us the questions in order to help-us figure out what we wanted to eat...most places just tell you everything is good, or I like xxx...but this place really takes the cake. The wanted to find out what we like and what we did not like, then not only recomended food to eat, but also made sure we liked what they brought out. The manager came to the table to make sure we were having a good time. I cannot say enough good things about this place, I will be back...!!! PS - it is a little more expensive than the cheap sushi place down the street...but it is worth every penny...!!! Enjoy...!!! more

All around excellent place to dine 2/9/2011

The sushi was the best I have had in the Houston area. The hibachi steak was equally as outstanding. This place is extremely classy; they put a lot of effort into presentation. My daughter loved the cylindrical fish tank, the fish followed her as she moved around it. The service was superb. The waitress was very polite and was very good at providing recommendations and explaining how they prepare their food. more

If you live in the Houston area or you're planning to visit AND you LOVE Sushi, this place needs to be on your radar. Great Sushi and Sake. I haven't tried their steaks because I'm such a sushi fan but I understand they're wonderful. My husband and I have tried several Sushi places and this one is tops for quality and value. more

Soooooo Gooood!!! 1/19/2011

I love this place!! I go there with a huge group of friends and we always hang out until they close. So many different sushi rolls. Some of my friends don't like sushi and they still go because they love their teriyaki chicken. They also have a great drink menu. I personally love the lemon drop martinis, but you can't leave this place without trying a flaming Dr. Pepper. (We call them Depth Chargers:) End the evening with some fried cheesecake!!! My friends and I love it; but my husband and I have had an evening or two there as well. They will totally close those curtains for you and your honey:) more

I went to Nikkos for dinner, as I walked into the restaurant, the atmosphere feels cozy, and the decor is very trendy. I ordered a Lychee martini as recommendated by the waiter, it was so good. Then I ordered the appetizer, and entree, they both tasted excellent. At last, it was dessert time, the fried chessecake, it is to die for. The staffs are very friendly. The services are prompt, and professional. I would go back there and recommend this restaurant. Pros: Great atmospheres, Excellent services, Well priced Cons: Cant think of one more

The food is delicious and there are generous servings. I always bring people to eat there that have never been before and everyone is ALWAYS impressed by the great food and atmosphere! I recommend this place to anyone and everyone! more

Best Sushi Yet 1/19/2009

I loved the place. I can't wait to go back there. As a matter a fact I think I might just go there right now. If you're someone that doesn't like sushi you should give this place a try. You will enjoy it. It's really romantic there also, so if your better half likes sushi and you live near Katy go try this place, you will love it and she or he will too. The service is great and the prices aren't bad at all. I'm hungry let's go now!!! They have nicwe music playing there and they also have a screen plasma showing sports. I really recommend this place. Great sushi and date restaurant- Fantastic bar 3/13/2008

Nikko Sushi & Sake Lounge is a lovely place to take a date. The atmosphere is cozy, contemporary and upbeat. The service is prompt and professional. All the dishes we ordered were prepared in an attractive way and they tasted very good. We had several rolls and sushami. We also ordered a bento box, sake and dessert. There were 4 people in our party so we each ordered a something different and shared. Even the Sake was nice. It had a good selection of music. We think it has great atmosphere and service. We thought the pricing was good for the quality. We go here often because of that and we love the decor. Pros: Great food in a wonderful atmosphere Cons: Popular so you may have to wait on Friday and Saturday more

What a Great FIND!!! 8/17/2007

Decided to go here after a recommendation from a friend. What a great find. I felt like I was in downtown Houston!! The sushi was great, some of the best and different than what you typically find in a sushi restarant. The Tornado and the Godiva rolls are amazing!! Waitress was so friendly..really made our dinner an enjoyable. She recommended the Lychee Martini which was Excellent! and not to mention $4 on Thursday nights for the ladies!!!! Loved IT!! Will definately be back! Pros: Food! Service! Drinks! Price! Cons: Can't think of any more

great great great delicious fresh sushi bar!! i highly recommend the Tornado roll.. yummy!! and the calamari there is great!.. not filled w/ a bunch of batter like other sushi places in houston, there is plenty of calamari to pass around the table. They have great signature drinks, i love the Lychee martini.. A+++++ Will definately be a regular at Nikko's! Pros: great staff more

Katy's own contemporary sushi bar. 6/29/2007

My girlfirend and I had driven down mason and fry looking for a place that catered to young proffesionals looking to hangout on a sunday in katy. We decided to drive by Grandparkway; we found this place . The servers were very couteous and the food and sakes were AWESOME . My girlfriend thought they over did it with the colors, but she said we'll have to come back because even though she's not much of a sushi fan, she found theirs to be great. Pros: Priced very reasonable, great service. Cons: Conflicting colors reduce the good ambience. more

Only one word to say... FABULOUS!!!! 5/8/2007

I had driven by Nikko's a few times and finally decided to try it. My best friend and I have gone to many sushi places all over Houston and this is by far our favorite place. It's atmosphere is very nice, the staff are extremely friendly, it's clean, service is prompt and anything we have ordered has been wonderful. We go so often we have our own table and waiter. I'm not going to give our waiters name but they know who they are; we don't like sharing everything!! Let's just say they are FABULOUS!!!! Pros: Everything so far as been positive Cons: AC Tube above you moves when it comes on and scares ya. more
