Niffer's Place

Niffer's is a great place to eat! The atmosphere is great with hand painted fish hanging from the ceiling and the walls covered in memorabilia from all cultural areas. Everything I've eater there was fantastic, the salads are big, the sandwiches are good, the entrees are reasonably priced and they have a wide variety of things for vegetarians inluding a black bean burger. They have sandwiches, burgers, pasta, chicken and beed entrees, wings, salads and appetizers. There is something here for everyone! One of their side options is cajun fries which are steak fries with a little spicy seasoning on them and they are great also. They also have great drink specials including fish bowls (they require 4-5 people old enough to drink) and $1 domestics all the time! more

The only thing stopping Niffer's from getting a perfect ranking from me is that often time during dinner you can not get a parking place and there is an hour wait. However, if you manage to get a table you can not go wrong. The burgers are great! I recommend the Bar-B-Q Burger with a side of Cajun Fries. Their sweet tea is above average and the prices are reasonable. Each night is themed, i.e. burger night, wing night, etc. and you get your money's worth if you order the theme. They also have great beer prices as has been mentioned in past reviews. One final thought, if you want a little stronger drink order the fish bowl, but bring a few friends. Also, be sure to look at the fish art hanging from the ceiling. The corn nuggets are a must get! For a southern appetizer choose corn nuggets. more

Niffer's is a fun restaurant for both families and college students. There are always drink specials (including $1 beer) and nightly food specials. Everything is good, from the burgers to pastas to salads to sandwichs. Upbeat, fun atmosphere, and they have outdoor seating in warmer months. Expect a wait, especially with a larger party. Parking can be hard Thursday-Saturday. Definitely an Auburn staple. more

Niffers is located in Auburn on Opelika Road. This is one of my very favorite restaurants. They have a very wide variety of foods (sandwiches, burgers, salads, pastas, etc) and appetizers. They have a great selection of burgers that are fabulous. The service is always wonderful as well-very friendly. The prices are reasonable, the sweet tea is great, and if you go, I would HIGHLY recommend trying the corn nuggets! more

No reservations, it's a really laid back place. They have nightly dinner specials. The food is acceptable and reasonably priced. It's a good spot to bring the family for casual dining. The bathrooms are clean, and the employees are polite. Parking is ok. The restaurant is located off Opelika Rd, closer to campus than the mall, though I don't recommend walking from campus without a good pair of walking shoes. They have very good drink specials. Outdoor seating optional. more
