The ambiance was romantic and cozy, the bread was warm, and the service was decent. Oh, and as previously noted, the vinigarette was tasty. We had to wait too long for the salad however, considering there were 4 tables of dining patrons total. Upon bringing the salad, the waitress offered to ""return with fresh pepper if desired."" The menu options sounded enticing, but I would go for the safest choice possible. The Pasta Fagioli soup was more like a salty, heavy meat sauce with pasta and a few beans thrown in. My date had an incredibly bland tomato cream based chicken pasta dish. My shrimp in a ""sweet basil cream sauce"" with hazelnuts was unreasonably heavy, could have doubled as dessert, and the large shrimp were unfortunately tough and overcooked. A cool glass of crisp wine may have cut through this dish a bit, but the choices by glass were very limited and pricey. Several of the other patrons must have known what to order and what to avoid as they seemed pleased with their meals. I will not be returning.
Pros: ambience
Cons: our food was horrible
