I am a long time customer of Nick's. I have always received great service, and great food. I've probably had everything there is on the menu. I can go in by myself and always strike up a conversation with someone. If you are in Banner Elk, you should try Nick's and form your own opinion. more

I walked in this place on 10-07-2010 and I have never in my life experienced terrible service like I did in that place.The manager is some blonde working behind the bar and was VERY rude.Needless to say I will never be in there again and also they don't even have a website? I am surprised they get the business they do. more

Gone Downhill 11/21/2008

I used to frequent Nick's when I was in school. I was let down severely when I chose to eat there last night. The food was not very good, and the service was absolutely terrible. I actually overheard the bartender speaking negatively about my wife while we were still eating. What a shame. It used to be a good local's pub. Now it has obviously changed ownership, and the new folks care nothing about their customers. Oh well. more

Skier's love the Ruebens ! 12/4/2007

Nick's is one of the great gathering places for ski groups to enjoy Alpine style bar and restaurant. Ski scene wall murals cover the walls offering fun atmosphere for family or ski groups. Their Ruebens are the best around town. Food is reliably good and service is fast and friendly. Patio tables offer outdoor eating during warmer months.\r \r Located in corner of Tynecastle shopping center with very nice clothing and home decor stores on either side. more
