Nickerson State Park

We had a wonderful three days on Cape Cod camping at Nickerson State Park - centrally located to both bat and ocean beaches... and also adjacent to the Cape Cod Rail Trail! We camped in area six which is just off of the largest of the kettle ponds in the park. The beach pond the pond was sandy and the water was a refreshing way to end our days. The campsites are wooded and we had plenty of room and didn't feel cramped in like many campsites we have stayed in. There are plenty of washrooms and showers with hot water! We used Nickerson as a base to explore the Cape - to Great Island in Wellfleet to Nauset and Skaket Beaches in Orleans. Strongly recommend for families that like outdoor activities - plenty of hiking and biking trails within the park! Outstanding place! more

This is a great campground. Really wooded sites. Clean bathrooms and showers. Huge ponds to fish and swim in. Very clean ponds with nice little niches to set up chairs and blankets too. Very reasonable rates. Huge campground with lots of sections. Nice little camp store with necessities and ice cream. Nice location on Cape Cod. All around good family camping! more
