My primary doctor had relieved the painful swelling in my elbow, caused by an accident, by draining the blood and fluids from my elbow 3 times over a period of 6 weeks. The swelling always returned. After one 20 minute acupuncture session, with Dr. Nickels, my swelling subsided 75% in 12 hours. Within a week the swelling and discomfort were totally gone and has never reappeared. I highly recommend Dr. Melinda Nickels to anyone, especially to skeptics! more

Acupuncture, a key element in the healing process 8/17/2013

The healing of my life-long struggle with depression and self not OK-ness was greatly assisted through the acupuncture sessions that I received from Dr. Nickels. Each session opened a channel and restored flow, complementing the meditation and awareness practice that I had begun years ago. Excellent!! 5/22/2013

Dr. Nickels spent a great deal of time in understanding what my health and pain issues are and worked to develop a treatment plan for me. She is working within all of my limitations and restrictions with extreme care and compassion. Even though I have only had one acupuncture treatment so far I have felt relief. Professional Caring Acupuncturist 12/4/2012

Not your 3 minute doctor visit 11/18/2012

My experience w/ regular doctors is that if I don't express everything on my list within my 3 minute time slot, I am SOL. Given a prescription and sent away with more questions. Dr. Nickels listens and ponders my list of issues, thinks about it holistically, and sends me home with solutions. She explains to me how things are related to one another and we tackle the root of the problem, not just the separate, individual issues. more

Dr. Nickels is a great listener. She spent a lot of time with me during my initial appointment and made sure to address each concern that I had without making me feel rushed. I am already benefiting from her approach to my health issues and so hopeful for the first time in a long time that I am on the road to the best health that I can have. review of appt services 8/31/2012

I am pleased that my arm and wrist pain are lessening. I am hoping to continue the progress and avoid surgery. The treatments I got last year helped my foot pain and I am not needing surgery there. I appreciate all that I am learning too! Dr. Melinda shows genuine concern for disorders and joy with progress. more
