Nickelcade

We had great a great experience with this nickelcade. My son had his birthday party here. When we arrived we found the room was ready and had been decorated for us. The kids had a wonderful time and the employees were very courteous and helpful. Several people in our party were late due to traffic and they graciously changed the time for the birthday room so we could still have the full hour. My Son loved it and we would do it again just because of the wonderful service that we had there. We will recommend this place to everyone we know. Thank you Nickelcade staff for helping make my sons birthday a success! more

We had a birthday party there. GREAT FUN for the kids!!!! HOWEVER, Nate was completely rude. Everytime I asked for nickles, soda etc, he slammed things down, rolled his eyes etc. He acted completely put out that we were even there. When the kids cashed in thier tickets he was very mean to them. He acted like he hates his job. When my daughter asked water he said ""let me drop what I'm doing for you"", my daughter is 28, not a child. The other guy there was very nice and helpful! If nate is there, bald headed guy, run!!!!!!!! more

Its really clean compared to most arcades I have been to. The staff is well... Its hit or miss, the girls that work here are usually really kind . NATE, I made sure to remember his name, after he was completely rude to my grandmother, muttering under his breathe, she couldn't hear what he said thank GOD! But I did, If I didn't care about offending her I would have given him more than an earful! But its a fun place to take your kids when NATE is absent cheap admission and fun games! Great place to take a date! more

I have been taking my kids here for years..never again. The smart-a** teenagers that work there will destroy this place. I was there last night and a very inconsiderate, rude, demeaning blonde working there ensured I will never go there again. The place continues to degrade. It is dark, smells and most games never work. The owner better pay close attention because at this rate I give it less than a year to survive. For the first time, my kids have now picked up on the callousness of the employees, the stink, the darkness and the overall air of death and now all 3 stated they don't want to go back. more

I have been taking a group of children for years to this place. It seems that every time we come, they treat us like CRAP! Not only are they rude and inconsiderate to the staff but even the unusual vibes they send to the children are bad. After calling and getting off the phone to see if we could come in, they were not only rude but completely inconsiderate to me and towards my organization. This has been happening for years, yet the children love going to the place and I enjoyed supporting a local store. NEVER will I go there again, or support them. I can’t believe someone could treat someone else like that, especially in a business setting….and I was even talking to a manager. I called Nickle-Mania right after and they were really nice, and even gave us a discount! Pros: kids liked the place. Local store for sandy Cons: Rude people! more

So I just went to Nickelcade for some ""Cheap fun"" but the service there is just as cheap as the games. but later after spending a little money my cup full of nickels was empty so i threw the empty cup at one of the teenagers slacking off while talking to a friend/girlfriend when i was forced to leave. and apparently they told ALL the employees and ALL the regular customers not to throw the cups. I have not heard a word on the issue and without warning kicked out.\r \r On top of the lazy teenage employees they also have HUNDREDS of games... Sounds good right? too bad over half of them are broken, trashed, and badly worn. Sure if your 7 years old everything seems great. but in reality the place is messy, out-dated, and run by underage dis-respectful teenagers.\r \r But out of all honesty there are better places to throw birthday parties and do hope you can find an alternative then this arcade. Pros: Cheap Cons: Outdated/Broken machines ,Terrible customer satisfaction more

the games are really fun and the prizes are really great and the drinks are at agood price and there pizza is really good Pros: fun Cons: sort of in a weird place more

I like the cleanliness and appearance of the Nickelcade in Sandy, but most of all, the rates. It's nice to know that there are still those family places that provides extremely affordable, but FUN entertainment of video games: there are a few older games that this establishment allows to be played for FREE. That's wonderful! With this economy as it is, parents and kids (I've seen college kids in this establishment), can enjoy their time away from reality if only for a couple or few hours. I'm guilty of playing the games myself because each one is just a NICKEL to play, after paying $2.25 for entrance! \r I really like it: affordable, clean, well-stocked with prizes, accommodating, birthday party rooms, AND, having a police substation two doors away is a peace of mind! =) Cons: Perhaps an expansion of the place, itself, to allow even more video games, maybe? more

They just opend a pc gaming room and if you bring a laptop with a wireless connection, you can surf the net there for free.\r \r Pc gaming is $2.00 an hour but you get a discount if you pay for 3 hours at a time.\r It also saves any unused time so you can leave and come back Pros: Lots to do for a low cost Cons: Can get a bit loud but it's bound to happen in that enviornment more

This was easily the best value and most fun I've ever gotten with a kids birthday party! $35 got me 7 kids & 4 adult admissions, a GREAT birthday cake (quality, not some crappy little thing), 40 nickels for each kid, party hats & blowers and goodie bags that kept the kids entertained from Redwood to Magna and then up to Heber. No cleaning, no worry, no big expense and they all LOVED the games. I can't say enough about what a GREAT deal it was. And my kids were all girls between the ages of 4-11. Pros: Inexpensive, Entertaining, Excellent staff Cons: , loud, only 2 locations more
