Nickel City a lot of Family Fun 2/3/2007

We seem to be going to a lot of birthday parties at Nickel City lately, which is great because they really have games and activities for all ages. The last time we went they had added a bunch of new video games and some new ticket games. The prizes are alright, save up if you want to get something good. Over all it's worth the admission price just to play the free games. more

Great Fun 9/21/2005

Whether you are with a bunch of friends, or with your kids, or if you are a kid, nickel city is a whole lot of fun for a smaller price than the average arcade or amusement park. the $2 "cover charge" is probably the most you will spend in one visit. the free games are great classic games, and the newest and hottest games are merely four to five nickels, whereas in some other arcade or amusement park, they would cost nearly $1 per go. more

Good Clean Fun 9/8/2005

I don’t care how old you are, there is a good time for everyone. Especially since most games are not over 30 cents. And a few for less, considerably less. The admission is $2, and there are several free play games which you can play once you have paid admission. Located next to Pacific Theaters in Carmel Mountain Ranch. Make a night of it. Watch a movie at Pacific, Go to dinner at CPK, and play some games at Nickel City. more

nickel city rocks 8/20/2005

This is one of the last arcades you'll find in San Diego, and it's a pretty good one. About $2 for admission and then most games are 2-4 nickles, and they have some old classics for free. It's a good place to spend a weekend afternoon if you have some extra time and want to get some gaming in. They don't get the newest games really quickly, but that's understandable since they are a nickel arcade. Overall I give Nickel City a high recommendation. more
