I wouldn't buy a bicycle from these guys. There is some serious deception going on. To anyone who has bought a car from these guys you need to have the car checked out by a professional! You can not simply trust the VIN that is on the dashboard. You should take your car to a professional body shop and have them located or at least try to locate all the VIN numbers. More than likely you will find out that you did not buy the car you thought. \r STAY AWAY! You have been warned. more

My husband and I recently bought a car from Bob's Nice Cars on the Guide Meridian. The clutch needed to be replaced, so Bob said he would have his mechanics replace it before we bought it. The clutch job took about twice as long as he said it would, and the car made screeching noises after the clutch job, but he assured us that all was well, and we got a decent price on it, so we took it home. All was well, or so we thought.\r We ended up taking the car to another mechanic to have him take a look at it, and it was as if we had opened Pandora's box. Here are a few of the issues we encountered:\r -The engine block was cracked, so we ended up having to completely replace the engine\r -The thermostat was MISSING\r -There was break fluid in the coolant system\r -Both front boots were torn (when the engine was removed for the clutch job) and needed to be replaced\r -Multiple bolts were missing and had to be ordered and replaced\r \r Bob was unsympathetic to our problems since we had already taken the car to another mechanic. You can understand WHY we did not want to take the car back to him to have it worked on. We spent several thousand dollars having these problems fixed. more

We bought our van there almost 3 years ago and have taken it back a few times just for oil changes and once for a front axle or something. They are very reasonable with their repair prices. Since, everything worked out well with our van, we just a bought a 1996 Jetta there for our son who just got his driver's license. They even gave him some pointers on how to drive a 5-speed - or I should say how ""not"" to drive a 5-speed. I appreciated that because his clutch should last longer. We will probably look for another car there in a couple years when our daughter is driving. more

My name is Pete. Nice Cars sold me a 1996 Passat TDI. The car has been excellent-smooth freeway mover-superior fuel economy. I've taken it back to Nice cars a few times for minor issues. They priced the parts to me at dealer cost no installation cost. My daughter, Chris, drove my Passat a few times and decided to get one. So far her Passat TDI has been great. I made a pit stop in Cheyenne, Wyoming on my way back from Bellingham, WA. The Passat ran like a Champ!! I am very pleased with how well it hugs the road, the ride is exceptionally smooth. This is a huge satisfier for me. Arrived home in Alabama to discover my fuel consumption for... the journey was 52.9 MPG !!! I am ecstatic with the results and with the over all performance of the vehicle. What an incredible machine !! We bought a TDI Wagon from Nice cars last year. Carfax confirmed it was 1 owner no title problems. We were told it would get 50 MPG but we have been getting 52.5 consistently on bio-diesel. The restoration work they did was first class, We've taken it back twice in the last year, once for a sticky door handle and once for a glow plug harness. Both times it was quickly fixed at no charge. We know of other VW owners who take their cars to Nice cars for low priced accurate repair. We went to Nice Cars because they were highly recommended by other TDI owners. Its a very unusual car dealership, go and see for yourself. We sure like our car! Maxine and Joda more

These guys are crooks. Salvage cars, East coast rust buckets, rolled back odometers and cars with swapped vin numbers. These jerks have been ripping people off in this county for years. They change their business name every few year when people start catching on. I think they're called NiceCarsTDI's now. Ask any car dealership or mechanic in the Bellingham/Whatcom county area and they will tell you of nightmares they have had to fix that came from these clowns. A few years ago I bought a VW TDI from Nice Cars Company in Bellingham Wa. That car has been great! It still performs great today. I was so happy with the car and the great gas mileage that I bought another VW TDI (witch is what they specialize in) for my wife a year later. We have been equally as happy with her new car as we still are with mine. I have told a lot of people about how happy we've been working with Bob at Nice Cars. A great place to start when looking for a new reliable car. As someone else commented, the art work in the office is really something (especially for all of us from the 60's -- weren't they great).? I bought a car from here that looked great ran great and came with a warranty for labor. with in the first 2 weeks the check engine light came on and when I took it in they said that they couldn't get the part i needed and that i should buy the part then drive back to them so they could install it. They also put in the wrong vin number and I had to go back so they could file the proper vin number But the real problem is that its taking them over a month to get my title filed and i still cant drive it because of this STAY AWAY FROM NICE CARS! Pros: the salesman is nice.................. Cons: Con artists lazy after they get your money they dont care more

I read these reviews and I have to admit I was skeptical of going. However I went there and was very satisfied. I have bought multiple cars from them and have been very satisfied. I am a firm believer in you get what you pay for, if you buy a high mileage car you have to expect some problems. My next used car will definitely be bought at Nice cars.?? more

NEVER buy a car from the Nice Cars lot! I made the biggest car mistake of my life thinking that by being a charming old man he-Bob-would be an honest car salesman-HA. LIes after lies. Cars leave that shop with a glossy paint job, new cheap tires, a few other 'new' things to keep you from looking deeper into the cars real problems. This car had a bent rim, cheap tires, no claimed air conditioning, extensive rust, missing parts, broken parts, leaks, mold and long list of other problems. They way over charge for old parts cars and i fell for it. My biggest hope is that other car shoppers do their homework and will find this thread first and avoid stopping in and being dazzled by the pretty art. if i had searched and read this City search forum i might have saved myself 20K!
