This company takes advantage of people with bad credit. I pay $225 bi-weekly for a 2005 Nissan Altima & never been late with my payments. The company don't care about their customers once they get you in a contact. My first bad experience with the company is I just made a bi-weekly payment & after 2 months of waiting they finally finished the paperwork to transfer my tag. It was $180 & I asked them for more time. The accountant department advise me since the temporary tag expires in 2 days, that's how long I had to come up with the payment. Eventually I did. My second issue is about the insurance policy. I decided to switch my insurance from GEICO due to the monthly payments. A person in the account called to tell me that they received notification that I no longer had GEICO & wanted to know the new carrier. When I informed her United Automobiles, she told me that they are unacceptable because they had bad experiences with collecting their money from them & that I had to change my insurance by the end of her work shift. I advised her that I had full coverage. She stated that I signed a contact & I had to chose who they approved of. I then asked for more time to come up with a down payment for a new insurance. She advised me again I had until the end of her work shift or they would take my car although I'm not late with my payment & have never been late. Also she gave me the option of signing a waiver which will increase my bi-weekly payment of $225 by $61 if I didn't change my insurance carrier by the end of her work shift. They didn't care that I had full coverage with the insurance company that I have chosen. I got the insurance with who they approved of with the cost of overdrawing my account & now not only do I have to figure out how to get my account to a positive balance, I have to come up with another bi-weekly car payment. As soon as I get the opportunity to do business with another car company, I will. I wouldn't have to worry about bi-weekly payments & I would have the option of choosing a car insurance carrier of my chose.
