Newtown Crossing Apts

I live in a one bedroom apartment with my dog and absolutely love it! It's the perfect size for us and for when we entertain guests. They are very well kept and the complex is also very well maintained. Located right next to the bridge to campus, never too noisy, and the other residents and staff are awesome. I feel very safe and am extremely happy with the community. more

There is a reason newtown got one star. Don't live there they will screw you over. Several different problems with broken maintainces they take weeks to fix due to lazy staff. Don't take their word on anything. Their manager is a joke made us live with mold for weeks. Not to mention racist alien believer maintaince crew. I give new town ten thumbs down more

As a parent I caution you: DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!! The city of Lexington should be ashamed to allow a company like this to rent to college students. This is a housing mill run by an unscrupulous company and is designed to fleece money from college kids who essentially have no rights. The apartments are dirty and in disrepair. Any requests or complaints fall upon the deaf ears of the college kids who work there and have no authority. While the individual rent is in the neighborhood of $560 per person, that is almost $2400 a month for a poorly run apartment. They have a towing agreement with a company a few blocks which is cruising the complex looking to tow cars. Visitors cars will be towed almost immediately after arrival. They have no mechanism for visitor permits for when parents come to visit. They suggested I park in the Starbucks parking lot a couple of blocks away. There is a restaurant on the premises. However, if you park there, you will be towed despite the fact that there are NO parking restriction signs anywhere. Again: DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!! more

Newtown management is greedy and unprofessional. They will make up bogus fees at move out, and then won’t discuss the charges with you. I lived at Newtown for 4 years and paid my rent on time every month, that’s over $25,000 in rent, and when I tried to dispute an $11 move out fee I was told to pay in 10 days or my account would be sent to a collection agency. I was told this by leasing office staff, because management would not even communicate with me despite repeated attempts to discuss the charge, including a letter and phone calls. more

This place is horrible. When we first moved in the apartment was suppose to be cleaned with a new paint job. Ours was disgusting. the managment is soooo rude and tried to make us pay a bill from the summer when we hadnt even lived there. There was a hole in our ceiling that took 3 months for newtown to fix. They are the rudest people ever and it is not worth the money. this place stinks!! plus they come inside when ever they want and roam your apartment. DONT LIVE HERE!!! Pros: close to campus Cons: parking is bad, dirty apartments, bad furniture, holes in ceiling, make you pay bills that arent yours, rude managment that dont care about anything more
