I thought that I was doomed to be a brunette for the rest of my life until I met Jen. I walked in with a very dark shade of brown and was really interested in trying blonde, but thought it was never possible. Jen was extremely helpful and friendly. I was a bit skeptical and horrified of the whole ""orange"" effect. The end result was the perfect shade at a very reasonable price. I will forever be a client of Jen's and would recommend her to anyone and everyone!!!!!! Pros: Friendly, Clean, laid-back. Cons: none! more

This is the least I can do for the miracle work that my new hairdresser Marisa did for me. I came to her devastated because my long blonde hair was chopped off WAY to short by a hairdresser who claimed she will only take off an inch and a half for HEALTH!!! Somehow , what was once long hair became a short bob. I heard of hair extension as an option but there was so many options that I did not what and who to belive. Then I heard that Marisa was right down the street from me so I decidedd to giver her a call. More than nice, she explained to me that she needed to see me in person to fully determine what style/color was right for me. The fee consulataion was that same day during which i had a million questions to which she knew all the answers. I felt like i was in the hand of a professional who knew what they were doing. My main concern was the damage the extensions did to the hair but I foind our that each bond is bonded together with keratine which does not damage the time comes to take them out. I decide to get them done before i went down to Cali for a wedding. That meant that I was back in her chair that same week, without any problems getting them done. THE CAME OUT FABULOUS! Absolutely NO way to tell the hair was not mine! !!!Another fabulous thing was my surprise at jow fair the price was comparing to the other places. At the end of the service Marisa said to me that she was not in this to cheat pepole out of their money but to do a good job which will in turn make them happy and comfortable to come back and that is how she got a client for life. I have naturally light brown hair and I love having highlights in my hair, to look as blonde as I can.\r I saw this salon on here and decided to give it a try, I usually go to where ever, I must say I'm a hairdressers nightmare. I never stick with a salon or stylists ever and I'm always looking for something new and different, aren't we all?! ... Anyway I was able to get an appointment after work, which was great because I HATE dedicating my Saturdays to salon time, and I work late hours and salons that I've been to in the past, don't cater to that. My appontment was at 7pm, however I had car issue and arrived 15-20min late, but Marissa the stylist I had was very cute and understanding. My hair was WAY over due, my roots were about 2inches. Marissa was awsome!, She talked to me about some options of achieving the ""Blonde Bomb Shell"" look as I call it, and I loved it!! I had no idea that i could be a few different shades of blonde. I figured they paint the foils on with beach and wait and thats it. I mean I am dead against low lights, I want to be BLONDE! So Marissa put three different colors in my hair, a really light blonde ;) a creamy ivory like blonde and then I want to say like a golden blonde, but not that orange ugly color it was very pretty!!!\r The compliments I have been getting are amazing!! Not only am I SUPER HAPPY, about the color, I have to mention the price! Most of the time a Full head foil is almost close to $200 with a haircut and dryed, but the price was a huge shock to me, it was much less and I was able to get some awsome shampoo and conditioner and still not meeting the $200 mark!!!!\r This salon is GREAT!! CLEAN!! and ENERGENTIC!! I might have to say that Marissa may have snagged me as a client, and with my track record as a salon hopper thats impressive even to myself!! \r THANK YOU MARISSA!!!! I promise I'll be back ;) Your a Super terrific stylists and you made me very comfortable. Thank You for making me a BLONDE BOMB SHELL again. Pros: Evening hours!!! Very educated staff!! more

I visited this salon last week and have been meaning to post this review since I saw they just recently joined to this site.\r i live in the area and was getting dinner one night for my famliy and noticed this salon next door. it was clean, and welcoming. One of the owners was outside and said hello to me an if i wanted a card. I went in and talked a lil about my hair. i was shocked that this salon was here, and i never realized it. she informed me that they just moved here from a different location about 4 weeks ago.I later had an appointment for a color and cut and LOVE IT! it was exactly what i was looking for. I am soo pleased with my hair and the salon that i wanted everyone to know, that if your looking for great skill in the newton/watertown area without paying an arm an a leg come here! They are GREAT!!!!!\r Thank you Newton Hair Company, I'll be back in 4 weeks ! Pros: Very clean, friendly and talented. They REALLY listen to you! more

I have been a client of Marisa?s for about a year now. When I first came in my hair was a dull brown color that I dyed myself with a box of color because I was sick of how yellow my hair was. My concern was that I wanted to be lighter but I didn?t want that trashy poorly maintained blonde color look. Marisa consulted with me for at least 15 min with the color book of different shades in front of us. She said she had a vision of my hair with not only one flat shade but of highlights and lowlites together to achieve that light look I wanted and yet keeping it classy. Now my hair has light pieces and shimmering blondes and it looks absolutely amazing. I never thought my hair could look this perfect!!!
