It's hard to kvell about a gas staion in the era of $3.25/gallon, but with or without the feel-good political correctness, Newton Center Gulf is a throwback to a time when service station owners were on a first-name basis with their clientele, fixed only what was wrong for the actual price, and let you leave your car on the lot for an extra few days without charging you a "storage" fee, all with a warm smile. You know what they say: "how can you leave town when you've found a good mechanic?" At least one establishment can rightfully call itself a "service" station.
