We have used NEWS Moving to move our condo to their storage and we are very happy with the service we had received. We had estimate on site done and on the day of the move Bob the foreman called us to inform us they are on the way. The movers was skilled, professional and polite. They did a great job protecting our furniture. They made an inventory list and we knew we are dealing with the right company. NEWS Moving gave us 1 month free of charge storage even that we told the owner that we need only one month. That save us great deal of money. It was a good decision to choose NEWS Moving!!! more

NEWS Moving recently moved my family from one home to another within our town. Local moves like this are long and hard. The moving team worked until late in the night and they maintained a positive attitude throughout their long day. They were polite, and very service oriented. I worked for a moving company many years ago, and I have a pretty good sense of what a good moving company looks like. I think NEWS Movers are top notch and we are already plan on using them again when we move back into our home a year from now. more

NEWS Moving and Storage is Great!! I used them about a year ago and then more recently. They took such great care with everything and asked many directional questions. Not in any way shape or form lazy. These movers (both times) were outstanding. And they're the only ones in town I have found where I didn't have to pay a stupid 'overtime' rate on Saturday. Come on, are you serious? Also, they took my request not even 2 days before my big move. I promise this is true. You must be honest with what you want them to move from the get go, that way when the charges come in you will not be surprised. I will never use another moving company again and I will definetely reccomend NEWS Moving and Storage to anyone who hates moving as much as I do (it's ALOT). more

I've had a lot of nightmare experience with movers in the past (one guy didn't show up at all, another charged a billion dollars more than the initial quote), so I was looking for a mover that's reasonably priced and legitimate. Got quotes from other ""top"" moving companies and their rates were double. NEWS Moving is professional, reliable and great to work with. THis is the first time I got movers and I was annoyed at how expensive some of the other quotes were. Thankfully I relied on the reviews posted here and called up for a quote. It was affordable and stress-free. They were flexible with the amount of boxes I expected to have and they were polite at all times. The movers arrived on time, did their job and left without incident. They worked hard and never came across as threatening or sketchy. The staff at NEWS Moving are very professional, helpful, and responsive. I originally called for a quote, then had a free in-home estimate, and decided to book my move with this company even though I got a lower price from another company. I felt like NEWS Moving dedicated more resources to us for our move, even if we had to pay a little bit more it was worth it. On moving day (12/15/11), the Movers showed up right on time, got to work right away, did a great job, and didn't slack off. They were careful with all of our items and very friendly and courteous. The same was true at our new home when the crew unloaded the truck. Although we received an estimate of 7 hours from start to finish, NEWS Moving completed the job in about 5 hours. All in all, we are very satisfied and would recommend NEWS Moving to anyone who is moving. more

Three men headed up by Omarshowed up on time. They treated our furniture like it was their own. They worked fast but were careful. I would use them again in a heart beat.\r This now is the second time we had Omar and his crew move us. This was a complex move from several locations. The day was long but very productive. The guys worked hard and non-stop. Once again they showed great care for our property and were very professional. We are again delighted with the result. We have a third move scheduled in the next month and we are confident we have the right professionals to move us.\r more

We had a terrific move with NEWS moving. It's always nerve-wracking putting all of your possessions into the care of strangers, but the team of movers was friendly, efficient, and careful with all of our stuff. .. NEWSwasn't the lowest cost of everyone we called, but they sent someone over to our house to give an official estimate and made me feel comfortable that we wouldn't end up being charged extra after all of our stuff was on the truck (that's happened to people I know before). Plus they were willing to come down a bit in price to make the deal. I felt like I got a reasonable price for moving a lot of stuff... Our four movers--Bob , Jorge , Alex and Rami-did a terrific job. Plus they were a great group of guys! They took great care with all of our furniture and wrapped everything very well, plus brought their own wardrobe boxes and packed up our hanging clothes and bedding for us. We really weren't fully prepared or packed for this move, but the NEWS team made it easy. I had expected them to tell me they couldn't move some things because they weren't included in the original estimate, but they did it all... I'd definitely recommend NEWS Moving & Storage for all the people in the bay area and need to move ! more

I had opened a new business a while ago and decided i wanted to move to a more office like environment. my friends recommended NEWS moving and i have to say i was skeptic about how good they may be. but i sent request for a quote anyways and received immediate attention back. i got a very cheap price which allowed me to save a decent amount of money. NEWS took care of all my extra requests of the unpacking and packing of my computers and technological stuff. and in no time i was settled in my new office, with everything perfectly ready to start. News Moving did a very good job with a 2 part move for me. I have moved approximately 10 times in SF and recognize the good from the bad. I saw an ex-colleague had posted a positive review on Facebook regarding News so I gave them a try. The owner is very hands on and is extremely responsive via email...no matter when you email him- he always answers. We originally thought we would be moving out of our apt. in SF and storing our things for one month. That turned out to be six months before part two of the move to our home outside the city took place. Bob was able to schedule us within a weeks notice! In the interim, we realized we thought we had packed our passports. News team for a very small fee assisted us in accessing our things to see if the passports were packed. Turns out they weren't--but they went out of their way to help. Part 2 of the move went well and was according to the estimate. I was worried at first if the estimate was accurate. In my case it was, which was good since we were keeping track of expenses due to purchasing a house. In any case if you have things you care about such as antiques or fine china--this moving company will definitely take the time to do it right, and will help you stay on budget. I recommend them and would use them again if I had to move. more

news moving were phenominal from the pre-move, to the actual move. I worked with jenny who always returned my phone calls and emails promptly. she relieved my stress that was created by speaking with competitors by assuring me news moving was the best service around. In addition he negotiated the price of my move and upgraded my service. The day of the move the men were on time, professional, curteous and efficient. I had a move with 2 drop offs in multi states. They made zero mistakes what moved where and nothing was damaged in the move. In fact I've never seen furniture and valuables wrapped and packed with such care as jorge with his team (tony and carlos). I couldn't be happier with my decision to use news moving for my recent move and I will continue to use them go forward for all of my moves. I've been meaning to write this review for awhile.\r \r I moved a few weeks ago and it started out as a terrible day. My moving company cancelled and then subcontracted my move to a company that couldn't find parking immediately in my neighborhood--HELLO WE LIVE IN SF (Oasis Moving---don't ever use them)!\r \r I called a bunch of places frantically and was able to connect with the people at news moving who had an opening.\r \r Bo and Omar were my movers and they moved a ton of heavy furniture, were in good spirits the whole time, and stayed with me and my roommates until 11:30pm.\r \r I can honestly say that Bo and Omar rescued me that day. They were the best movers I could ever have hoped for. And they were able to store some of my stuff so I didn't have to find a storage unit.\r \r This moving company is truly a hidden gem. I will never use another moving company and neither should you!!!!! more

I can't say enough good things about this experience. \r \r I am a single person and I was doing a small, simple move, I called 4 or 5 different companies for quotes and News was by far the lowest quote with the least amount of add-on charges. \r \r The guys were nice, friendly, and efficient. They were promptly on time and packing the truck took 1 hour less than all the other companies had predicted. They have all necessary boxes and equipment available to buy on their website with delivery. \r \r I would recommend this company to anyone I think they are efficient, polite, and affordable. I won't hesitate to use them again. \r more
