My wife and I took a whale watching trip to Catalina and it was great. We felt like we weren't in California anymore. I was pretty awesome and we plan on doing it again. more

Love the dolphins 2/17/2012

The staff who gave us our tickets were nice enough and our buy one get one free was honored. We were all charged a $3 gas surcharge which was noted on their website. Loved the dolphins more

The trip was very informative and FUN! I had to sit down a few times to keep the motion sickness out of me but other than that, it was the most fun I have had in a very long time. Will come back with the kids:) more

We went on August 25th and two hours int the trip, we saw a bunch of Blue Whales. It was so exciting. My BF and I decided to go back the very next weekend, and saw a whole bunch of bottle nosed dolphins. We also saw of fin whales (second largest whale). It was exciting to hear and awesome to hear everyone's reaction! more

Amazing memories with the family 11/16/2011

Came down from LA to go whale watching with them last week because we looked online and they were pretty positively reviewed. We went on the 1pm trip, saw some amazing blue whales but and three kinds of dolphins and a whole lot of them. They were great to watch and would come right up to the boat. The captain and crew were very helpful and knowledgeable about the whales and dolphins. There were bathrooms on board (something I was worried about) and drinks and drinks for sale. Pretty much anything you could want (including alcohol). The weather wasn't even that bad, which was another concern being November and all. We were all quite comfortable in pants and sweatshirts. Great. Really. Just super. more

I brought my kids to this trip over the weekend, and they LOVED IT!! We all had so much fun with the staff showing us all around and explaining things as we went. I am very glad i chose to do this, and would love to do it again. more

Amazing Experience 11/10/2011

On October 28th, at 3 p.m., I enjoyed a whale watching trip with you. My friends from Australia were visiting California and we had a great time. As the captain pointed out to us, our particular trip had some of the BEST sightings ever. He was excited about it. I hope to come down and take another trip with you one of these days. more

Same old story at Newport Landing. Last year it was loud drunks (friends of the deckhands) and this time it was '300 pound Dude' (again, friend of the crew) crowding the hot corner at the stern and driving me off my spot that I had staked out before we left the dock. Bait tank troughs went chovieless FIVE TIMES during the night and the crew was clueless, despite being reminded again and again, and insisted on focusing on staying in the wheelhouse, with a deckhand's girlfriend, instead of doing their jobs. When the crew was on deck they fished - not cool. '300 pound Dude' (the dead-head) of course won the jack-pot and all the newbies were clueless about the situation. Even at $25, I'll never take another ride with these clowns. Save your money. more

False Advertising by omission! 3/12/2011

I purchased two tickets for the Whale Watching Catalina trip, that this company advertised on online site Travelzoo, they were 50% off. These tickets were purchased the beginning of March 2011, and they are good until Dec 2011. It says to call and make a reservation to the day you would like to go, and that would be any Sunday until December. I called them today to see if I could take the trip this Sunday, March 13...and the person that anwered the phone told me that all trips were booked until OCTOBER 2011...7 MONTHS FROM NOW!!! What a SCAM! I'm furious, and if I new this was going to happen, I wouldn't have spent a nickel on this trip! What a bunch of false advertising my OMISSION!!! Will tell everyone about this SCAM. Furious! \r more

Blue whales! 8/29/2010

Me and my son had a great whale watching trip today. We saw 5 blue whales and they saw right next to the boat! We also saw a fin whale and a lot of dolphins, they swam right in front of the boat and some jumped out of the water right in front of us. The captain and boat crew were really nice and they had alot of knowledge about the different species of dolphins and whales. We had a really fun time! more

Dolphins! 1/26/2010

Went out whale watching this morning. Didn't see any whales, but we did spot a whole lotta dolphins. They were real cool to watching, swimming along with the boat, jumping around. Since we didn't see any whales they gave us a coupon when we were getting off the boat for half off at any time. And we're definitely planning on doing that. Hopefully on a sunnier day. WIth more whales out. Pros: Got 1/2 Off Coupon to Come Back Cons: No Whales, Just Dolphins more

Fishing fun for the whole family 10/7/2009

I reccently went out on a fishing trip through them with my husband and son. I didn't want to fish but we were out in California visiting some realtives near Newport and my boys wanted to go and I wanted to spend time with them so I tagged along. We went out on a big boat with about 20 people. They had a little inside sitting and eating area where they made breakfast and served drinks on the way out to where they were fishing. When we were aways off shore the boat stopped and the crew helped my son get ready to catch some fish. I read a book and got some sun while they were fishing and when all was said and done we got off the boat with a couple bags of fish for me to cook for dinner that night. We all had a great time and agreed we will have to do it again everytime we're out visiting. Pros: Good way to spend time with my boys Cons: Having to cook what they caught, haha more
