I can't say enough about how I like the Newport Dental program, which has fully itemized prices of all procedures up-front, and is an ""insurance plan"" administered by the dental group themselves, without any outside intervention from third-party insurers. I estimate that the monies I put out are at least equal to, or even less than, the monies that I would put out having a third-party insurer, and going to another dental group. I go to the Fullerton / Orangethorpe Ave. office (Dr. Reyhani), and have had nothing but friendly, professional service for two years now. If more dental and medical groups had up-front charts of expenses and corresponding lower costs in America like Newport Dental, there would be no need for medical insurance reform in America. If you just look at the process of getting the final cost of a procedure using Newport Dental (Chart of Costs ""menu"" brochure) versus going to another dentist with third-party insurance, one could see how OUTDATED, BUREAUCRATIC, AND COSTLY the traditional third-party insurance process is (requires intervention by dental front-office, third party insurer, AND dental patient) just to get ONE final cost for the patient. Add another procedure, and the entire process is repeated all over again. Compare that process to the itemized cost brochure that Newport Dental has in place. The inefficiencies and bureaucracies borne by the third-party insurers in this country can be better managed or even eliminated by processes that Newport Dental has in place.
