This is one of the worst meals I've have ever had! The food was awful. I could only stomach eating a few bites. Nobody in the family could eat much of their plate. When we tried to complain about the awful food to the waitress, she ignored us and walked away. We ended up packaging up everybody's meal and feeding it to the dog. It turned out to be a very expensive doggy bag! (We had to go somewhere else to eat something.) more

Thumbs down on Newicks! 4/6/2010

As a former regular customer, I was glad to see Newicks had returned to So. Portland. Sorry to say things are not the same. I tried a clam and shrimp combo and it was awful. The clams were extra large and tough. They all had black stains on them, apparently from the bellies exploding. The shrimp were the smallest I have ever seen and were soggy. Needless to say, I didn't eat much. My neighbor's cat may enjoy the leftovers. more

Fun place to eat! 8/17/2005

I've been going to Newicks since I was a kid and it's just as fun now as it was then! the food is excellent .The atmosphere is casual and it's great if you have little ones with you because if they get antsy waiting for their food you can bring them out to the huge gift shop.There's alot of noise everywhere so you dont have to worry that your child is being too loud.The service is pretty fast and very friendly and best of all-you eat free on your birthday!! more
