The Newburgh District is confusing - if you didn't already know when you moved here, it is a Magnet School district so your child will not be going to the local school down the street - that being said, we offer alot more than most other districts - as long as you are on top of your child's needs, teacher's and friends you should have no more trouble in Newburgh than you would any other district in the area - please don't listen to the previous poster - no district is perfect - more

Newburgh Schools 12/11/2005

This is the worst school system in the area with the most bizarre way of placing students I have ever heard of. Although there is a school literally across the street from my house, my son was to be sent to DOWNTOWN Newburgh to attend school at one of the worst schools in the state. It has since closed because it was so bad. I would not recommend anyone sending their child to any school in Newburgh. more

Newburgh Schools 8/10/2005

I went thru the Newburgh school system from kindergarten all the way till graduating high school. The elementary schools are great but I did not enjoy junior high as much till we got to high school at NFA which was great. Though it is a very large school, it was great to see all the kids from teh different schools from earlier on come together at NFA. I enjoyed school a lot and it got me into a top 20 college so I can't complain. more
