I had e a very poor experience with Scanio Movers. They were over two hours late and won't bother to return my calls. My other building charged me for them working after hours and Scanio Movers wouldn't cover the cost even thought they were late two hours. Unfortunately, Citysearch requires us to give 1 star - but they don't even deserve 1 star. Do yourself a huge favor -- choose a reliable, professional moving company. I also wanted to let Citysearchers know that this company is not worth the phone call. more

Scanio falsely claims to be endorsed by the Better Business Bureau. Check out the BBB site to see what they have to say. When Scanio brought our furniture back from storage, several valuable items--furniture, decorative pieces--were either damaged or lost. Their movers did not protect newly-installed wood floors and caused significant damage to them when dragging furniture. Absolute torture to deal with and costs were high. I moved three times in the past year and have had major headaches from the first 2. I gave Scanio Movers a try after it was recommended by a friend. From the phone inquiry, to the estimator, to the moving guys - every single one was courteous, professional, accommodating, and efficient. Their rates are highly competitive and I I find that their pricing is very clear-cut and upfront. I've seen and heard a lot of other moving companies (that I'd rather not name) that hand out cheap quotes and in the end come up with a lot of bogus surcharges and extras which end up costing much more. By far, this was the only move I had that was hassle and headache-free. I would not hesitate to book their services for my next move and they have my highest recommendation.
