We are a local business that ordered from this company multiple times a week only because there are not many delivery options at our location.
This week alone we have placed 5 orders in 4 days.
Earlier this week, my coworker ordered a sub with a couple of editions.
The sub arrived just as she wanted.
Today, she ordered the same sub the same way, and it was not prepared correctly. Not only that, but the pasta I ordered was open and spilled all over everything inside the bag.
This in itself, is not a big deal.....or at least it didn't have to be.......
My coworker called, and a woman (who claimed to be the owner) was very defensive and rude.
I could hear her screaming at my coworker from across the room, and she hung up on my coworker.
I then called back and spoke with her, and she had a HUGE attitude and continued to scream at me.
She told me that she did not care.
I asked if she was the owner and she said yes.
I am so shocked that a local business owner would treat her customers like this. As you can see by the other reviews, this is a recurring theme at NY Deli Pizzeria.
She then told me I was ruining her day!
Meanwhile, my lunch was gross so therefore I did not eat it.
When I told her I was going to write a bad review, she told me that she knew where my office was and that she would come down here if I did.
(I'm shaking in my boots)
I was a restaurant manager for several years and worked in the food industry for even longer.
It is completely absurd to me that a business owner would allow this sort of behavior in her establishment, let alone be the example to her employees.
No one from our company will ever order from this place again, which is an average of almost $100 per week.
I may call the better business bureau.
