Each visit to New York City Pizza is such a pleasure. I am always greeted with a smile and Hello! My family loves the pizza and my little guy loves the spaghetti and meatballs. The atmosphere is great and those that work there truly seem to be happy with their job. I really enjoy when I can take time to sit and watch them make the pizza, talk with Amanda and Pat and just have a great time. Cheers to New York City Pizza! more

I grew up in a very Italian area of Brooklyn and know great pizza when it is served. At NYC Pizza the thin crust pizza is excellent. Their lunch specials are also excellent. I highly recommend the place, with one exception - the crust on their thick crust (i.e., Sicilian) pizza needs to be crispier. Bob more

Having been born and raised in the New York metropolitan area I honestly feel that this is the most authentic New York style pizza you will find in the Lowcountry. Their pastas and other entrees are also fantastic. The staff is courteous, helpful and very friendly. Highly recommended! more

We ordered a pizza that was made with a watery tomato sauce (Margarita Pizza) with four small pieces of basil, some globs of cheese and oil floating on top. It looked unappetizing and when I picked up a slice the sauce and toppings slid off. The waitress had the nerve to ask if we had ever ordered this kind of pizza before - like yea but it never looked like that! We returned the full pizza only to have the manager tell us that we still had to pay it! No apologizies for the awful pizza, just the manager telling us that he had to cover the cost of his products. He was completely rude and did not care one bit about customer satisfaction. Will never go there again and recommend that you don't go there either! more

Holy hypertension! This was, hands Down , the worst lasagna EVER. It was so salty I had to send it back, the calamari was almost raw, the marinara sauce for the mozzarella sticks was so salty I felt like I coud drink a gallon of water. What a tremendous waste of time and money!!!! Pros: waitress was nice Cons: no soap in the restroom..makes me wonder more

This has to be the WORST service I have experienced in quite some time. The manager was rude. The staff was totally uncaring and not helpful. It was overpriced for the food we received. Never again will we go there. Cons: Service, Service, Service more

I must have been next to the last reviewer because we sat for 90 minutes with 2 starving toddlers and neither the waiter nor the manager showed very much concern. We saw people walking out after not being served a drink for over 20 minutes past their arrival. And the restaurant wasn't even full so we couldn't understand what was going on. Terrible service- I would not waste a vacation evening at this establishment. more

I just visited New York pizza, i was a regular customer, but after this experience, i don't think i'll be back. After waited for our server for over a half an hour, we finally contacted the manager, who acted clueless himself, and didn't even act like he cared. Our server finally came back to the table and told us that there was a mix up in the kitchen and our pizzas were being remade. This information should have been relayed to us when the mix up occured, instead of having us sit there for an hour before he came back to the table. The manager then came back to the table and told us 6 more minutes on the pizza, and that it was not the server's problem. I beg to differ because it was the server's reponsibility to acknowledge us, and keep us informed, which he failed to do. When we finally got the pizza, the bottom of the crust was torched, I mean really burnt. And after all that, they still added a 20% gratuity to our check. My husband & I ordered a large Stromboli with mushrooms, green peppers, onions, & spinich. After taking a bite of it, we noticed that it was cold inside. We sent it back to be put back in the oven. When they brought it back to our table, we took another bite out of it, but it was still cold inside. We told, who we assumed to be the manager/owner, about the cold Stromboli. He said that they were having trouble with the thermostat, but never offered to remedy the situation. After giving us a bill for the entire amount, we regrettably paid it, and left hungry.
