Best

Great variety of authentic food. My out-of-town friends insist on dining there when they're in town. The table grill is fun. Pros: Delicious food, courteous staff

Worst

I think the owner and food is good, but the waitress. Who works there is really impolite! She needs to change her service, otherwise no one will want to return to dine there!

Great side dishes. This is the most 4/17/2012

Great side dishes. This is the most important thing for me in a Korean restaurant! Needless to say, everything else is good too. The atmosphere is the typical Korean dive restaurant but I like it! The ladies who work there are super nice but very busy and could use more help. Overall, I would recommend this place as the best Korean restaurant around here. more

Good Spicy Chicken Bulgoli! 7/28/2009

Excellent main dishes. Little skimpy on the pot-sticker amount. No seafood pancake... bummer. Banchan was basic and ok. Could be better. Plenty of parking. At least the bar is nonsmoking now. Pros: good service good food Cons: small banchan portion more

The waitress's service is one of the worse in town! 5/27/2009

Table Top Fun 5/8/2009

This is a fun place to experience ""table top grilling"". The panchen (side dishes) are good, especially the O-E Muchim, and summer kamja. The mul kimchee is great too. This is a fun place to go with a group of friends and dine on some yummy Korean food. It is my second favorite Korean restaurant. Highly recommended. Pros: Grilling your own meats Cons: A bit $$$ more

Moved to a New Location Just a mile away -- see -- www.newseoulgardenyakiniku dot com 7/8/2007

Same Owner, Same taste, Same Service. Just different Location a mile way. Pros: Great taste at great price more

Food wasn't that great 8/17/2006

We thought this place was going to be really good from what we heard but boy were we disappointed! None of the dishes we ordered were good including the pickled dishes. The shortribs we ordered had only 5 shortribs in total that were mainly fat, not meat. I make shortribs alot at home and the ones i make taste alot better. It wasn't worth the dish for $16.99. The soup wasn't that tasty and the tripe with veggies we ordered were nothing but msg. We asked for no spicy cause my stepson doesn't eat spicy and i guess they doubled up on the msg to make up for the taste. My husband and I left the place full but not satisfied...it was like a forced full. I wouldn't go back again. The server was nice but that's about it. Pros: Service was ok Cons: Tiny plate of shortribs, soup was tasteless, pickled dishes were ok more

Closed for good? 3/4/2006

This restaurant has closed. Does anybody know if it moved to another location or why it closed? Pros: price, food taste, easy parking more

We love this place! 1/10/2006

Our 7 year old thought the table top grills were the coolest thing in the whole wide world, just slightly cooler than cutting your meat with scissors! The food is great, and the servers are helpful. Pros: Great Food, Good Service, Fun more

User review by liquid8me 8/4/2005

I lived in Korea for 2 years and find this resaurant to be exceptional. The quality is always good and prices are reasonable. Very authentic. I eat here at least once per month. It is worth the drive from anywhere in the Greater Portland area. more

Best of the Best 5/24/2005

This resturant stands head and shoulders above other similar Korean dining spots. You can really get the best ""bang for your buck"" at The New Seoul Garden. The gas grills built into several tables are just the greatest fun. When I treat someone to a table top BBQ dinner, they never forget it. This place always seems to have a real positive effect on my clients as well as my significant other. I highly recommend the bento menu items for lunch and any BBQ for dinner. They will bring the meat out cooked if you don't want to grill it yourself. Pros: best value, good parking , lounge Cons: needs to be busier more

ONLY THE BEST! 7/15/2003

Wow! I am Korean and this is the best food. The restaurant is serve yourself for condiments and they have table top grills for cooking your meat. The price is a bit high, but the quality of the restaurant more than makes up for it. Remember that there is a two order minimum and try the Beef Bulgogi. You'll love it! Pros: Loved the food, Great variety, Interesting dishes Cons: Slow service at times more
