When I moved to New York from California, I had a real Mexican food crisis. I kept asking everyone at work, ""where is the Mexican food? Where can I get a good taco? Where can I get enchiladas?"" After many blank stares, I found someone who said ""take the 7 train to my neighborhood (Sunnyside) and you'll find something."" What I found, ultimately, was not only a fix for my Mexican food cravings, but the best Mexican food I've ever had. The cuisine is a bit different from what I was used to (I've since learned that's Jalisco recipes vs. Puebla recipes), but the enchiladas, mole, chilaquiles, tortas, panza, and even the basic taco at New Post far surpass anything I've had before.\r

They're also very friendly and the service is usually very fast (although those luscious enchiladas take maybe 15 minutes to prepare), unless it's a weekend midday when they're pretty crowded.
Pros: Food, price, counter service
Cons: Crowded at weekend brunch hours
