New Orleans Ghost Tour

If you want to know about the REAL history of New Orleans and be BLOWN AWAY, then take the haunted history tour with Randy Ping. Forget about stupid ghosts and ""orbs"" (it's all a waste of your money anyway). Randy's tour was filled with a few ghost stories, some humor, and most importantly TONS OF INFORMATION and social commentaries. Through all of the tragic parts of New Orleans history, he reveals hope, heroism and how important it is to fight for what you believe in, protect the ones you love and DO THE RIGHT THING, even if you stand alone. Although all of the places that are in Randy's tour seem unrelated and random, his tour is SO EXTREMELY COHESIVE. At the end, he BEAUTIFULLY ties all of the places together and gives you so much insight that it gives you the CHILLS. Also, Randy is such a good guy. We talked to him for an hour after the tour. He is such a gem. When we were eating at a restaurant hours later he even went out of his way to come inside and say hi. Thanks Randy, you're the best! more

My friends and I came to an FBLA meeting and were looking for a haunted tour. Well, it definitely wasn't haunted, but we got so much more than that. We got the real deal. The real history behind of New Orleans myths, no matter how gruesome, were delivered with efficiency and wit. Mr. Randy Ping lead the tour with safety in mind, and fun of course. He kept us entertained with great and true tales of the LaLauries and the other dredge of New Orleans' past. If you take the tour, you are in for a wonderful ride of history and truth. My husband and I visited New Orleans over the weekend and decided to take a haunted ghost tour. We accidentally found Flanagan's bar, bought tickets there, and while awaiting the appointed time, pleasantly discovered we were in a ""local's"" hangout. Pros: Great storytelling, was safefy conscious, witty and intelligent. more

Our family usually takes one of these tours every year in October and have enjoyed previous tours very much! But, October 2006 we took a tour from ""New Orleans Ghost Tours"" and it was terrible. Our guide, Randy, talked more about the evil of New Orleans Politics and federal politics than he did about ghosts! He was very boring and even went so far as to dispell the existance of ghosts and said everything someone sees or photographs is fake! This on a Ghost Tour! How ""un-scarey"" and un-fun is that! Pros: Some Tour Guides were good in the past Cons: Randy is terrible guide and owner unresponsive to problem, calls, etc. more

You start off in a bar - where they get you to buy a drink - lead you on a long walk - 1st story was good - then walked some more - 2nd and 3rd stories very lame and you ended up back in a bar to buy a drink and then through a souvenier shop to the last and worst story of all - we ended up doing our own tour with the Frommer's book as a guide. SKIP THIS - TOTALLY A TOURIST TRAP AND WASTE OF MONEY! more

This was the highlight of my entire trip! Randy was my tour guide and, let me tell you, this man rocks!!!! Not only is he handsome and really nice, but he also really knows his stuff. I was blown away by his knowledge of history and the paranormal. When I bought my tickets, they told me Randy is gonna be on the Travel Channel in October because they interviewed him as an expert...... I am not at all surprised!!!!
