Employees that steal and cause members grief 4/8/2023

If you join New Orleans Athletic Club… be prepared to eventually have to deal with Employees that steal and Employees that cause members grief. The NOAC employees often steal from members. Others are doing stupid things they know they shouldn’t, but they get away with. NOAC just cannot get a control of their own employees. A bonus is (sarcastic, but true): Some NOAC Employees have sex with members until they get caught and fired. The awful things these employees do and get away with are innumerable. The NOAC has a real hard time getting good employees, so expect to deal with thieves and hoodlums and buttheads. And those are the NOAC employees! Namely the cleaning staff. The cleaning staff eventually get fired, but only after they steal from members, or cause members other countless headaches. more

Pretty good gym but members don’t flush toilets. Every time I try to use the bathroom, some member took a dump and didn’t flush. Is it so hard to push a handle? Otherwise the place is pretty nice. Just the toilet flushing really bothers me. more

Their social media expert “JR” is a sex pervert that writes blogs about spying on men in the locker room. Another gay guy with a fantasy of hooking up with straight men in the showers. This pervert works for the gym and it is disgusting. Conflict of interest! more

The dude operating NOAC cameras is a creepy dude. NOAC, I do not feel comfortable around him. 10/23/2020

I have to agree with other reviewers. That live streaming dude Jason Rowan is a total creepy dude. Jason Rowan is also an all-out jerk. He talks about men’s locker rooms and looking at men’s crotches for bulges and men’s privates. This is an NOAC employee! 100% out of line! We don’t feel safe when we are changing our clothes. NOAC, why do you hire such bad people? more

The bald live streaming employee bothers NOAC members, completely rude, behaves in unprofessional manners, and gives off “I’m crazy” vibes. 10/23/2020

New member here. About a year. For COVID-19 safety, there has been live streaming in the workout classes. I’m filing a complaint. NOAC ... That bald live streaming employee you hired is upsetting and worrying NOAC members. He is the slender, older man with the camera and tech equipment and walks around the gym. This man behaves in unprofessional manners, and gives off “I’m crazy” vibes. He has been very rude. Members often feel he is spying in unprofessional ways. I don’t want to attend another workout class when this creepy dude is working the cameras! Please hire better tech people. This current one gives off very, very, very creepy vibes. Do a better background check. This bald tech guy is rude and creepy. I did not become a member to be creeped-out by the employees. Especially the ones in charge of the cameras! more

BEST. GYM. EVER!!!! 3/27/2012

I'm glad I came in a took a chance for myself after reading some of these dated reviews. The club is GREAT! There IS a full time cleaning staff that is constantly going around and cleaning or restocking paper towels and cleaner. There is a full time security guard that even offered to walk us to our car when it was dark outside. I'm familiar with gym equipment, having had fitness classes in high school and college, but when I did have a question about a certain muscle group, the Manager happily helped me out and answered the questions I had. I've been a member to a few other health clubs in other cities that I have lived in but NONE have come close to how great of a club the New Orleans Athletic Club is. They have over 40 classes that are free for all members, enough cardio and weight machines to accommodate members even during the pre and post work rushes. For someone with a budget, this club doesn't break the bank. I get what I pay for and I'm happy with that. The other members are very respectful and nice. It's easy to meet and make new friends here. All in all, there is nothing to complain about this facility. There are other gyms in New Orleans, but none that offer the kind of service that I have gotten here at this club. You get what you pay for here. It is a 12 month agreement, but they let me freeze my account for 6 months for no charge when I got too busy with work. Now that I'm back to working out here again I feel like I'm back home. more
