Okay, here's the thing- I have a many friends who are tree hugging, vegan hippies. I am not this. I am a meat lover. They love adventurous ethnic foods. I, of course, do not.
Rarely do we ever have a chance to grab a bite to eat together in the same place without one of us getting slighted....until today!
Today we discovered New India Cuisine! They had everything I want as well as everything my tree hugging friends have to have...or not have...or whatever...
They had American dishes with an Indian twist like the Angus Mint Burger with Desi Fries. Indian flavor and flair without being too much for me. They had authentic Indian dishes with the richness and heat that it all entails. One dish- The Chicken Masal was so tasty, my friend raved about how home-cooked it tastedm, like a Hindu mom just made it for her.
And my vegan friend- she was in PETA heaven with something called the Thali Platter- it had these cool little compartments with different offerings of vegan goodies along with homemade breads. There were many Indians sitting down to eat so that told us all something- it was authentically good for them as well.
Best part- any dish is under $10 and they use recycled plates and plastic wear. Recession and earth friendly!
Plus it was a place we could all agree upon. One thing we do agree upon more so- we'll be back!
