Not since I used to frequent a little place on Washington and Kearny at the edge of Chinatown (San Francisco) have I found garlic eggplant as delicious as at New Century. But don't stop with the eggplant at this quiet, extremely friendly buffet on Scott Boulevard. In two visits, I've had two incarnations of hot and sour soup: one with the expected vinegar kick and a bit of pepper and one with sinus clearing properties; both were outstanding! Don't overlook the siu my (under a steamer marked "dim sum") and add a bit of the sauce sitting next to it. This is the only buffet where I've even been tempted by the seafood and several of the shrimp dishes are good. I haven't tried the sushi, and probably won't, because the hot dishes are just that good. After living in the South for three years and mourning the loss of my favorites from the West Coast, I feel I've finally found Chinese food worth eating (and I've tried many other places). I'll be back, and back, and back!
Pros: Food, staff, cleanliness
Cons: None that I could find.
