New Avenue School

In this school the curriculum is well reounded and also focuses on the teaching the whole child. We could not be happier to have our child to attend the New Avenue School. We would highly recommend more

My child attended preschool and is in kindergarden there. School places strong academic emphasis, and extracurricular activities involve many fundraising events that are not school sponsored. Principal has 15 years and has allowed culture to develop not in line with written programs, which are given to new parents. more

The school emphasizes on academic. You will be surprised with the overall academic level of the students from New Avenue School, especially Math and English. Be prepared for hours of homework and preparation for tests every week though. Kids are well-disciplined. Teachers and staff are great and professional and care for the kids. Principal is very friendly and does try his very best to respond to parent s needs. Tuition is very reasonable comparing to other private schools in the same area as it includes after-school daycare and lunch and does not ask for donation. more

For the amount charged, however, New Avenue School provides outstanding value for the academic training it provides. Here's my point of view: if you want to gain great knowledge, come to this school. This school is great academically. I have learned much in this school. It has helped me a lot in life. This school is also a bit more challenging than public schools. It causes students to use more effort. I have personally been to this school since pre-school, so I do know how the school is. I am currently in the 8th grade, and I soon will graduate. I would recommend you to send your child to this school, if academics is the main focus. more

This review is only for the pre-school side. My son is in 2yr old class. The teachers are very loving and kind. He's been there 6 months and he loves it. They have lots of fun activities for the little ones. Every week my son shows me the little projects he has been working on. The pre-school is separated from the rest the school, so the big kids won't be running over the little ones. The pre-school has an open play ground is big enough for them to run around, ride in cars and they also have a separated play area just for the 2/3 year olds. The kids there seem very happy. more

I truly believe that New Avenue School is an excellent school, one parents should be proud to enroll their children in. My daughter was a student there for approximately 13 years. She entered as a pre-school student and continued until she graduated 8th grade. This school equipped her with important life skills. For instance, she developed a great language and math foundation upon which to build her arsenal of knowledge, and through interaction with the teachers and other students, she gained superb social skills. However, I was most impressed with the small student-teacher ratio, because I noticed that her teachers were extremely attentive to each student's individual needs. Also, my daughter does extremely well in honor and ap courses in high school because she is accustomed to a rigorous workload and high expectations. more

My daughter has been in Pre-School for 2 years. As a parents we love the school and all the teacher are the best in the preschool. We are looking forward to Kindergarden next year. more
