Awful Place, Stay Away! 5/2/2014

Do Not trust these people with your pet! They are only after your money! They overcharge and pad your bill with miscellaneous charges. They staff is unfriendly and rude. They have this scam going because of the New Albany name and address. They do Not care about the animals. This place is using our genuine love for animals to overcharge us any chance they get. Sad group of people, doors should be closed and locked to prevent anyone else from mistakenly walking in. more

Great Folks 10/14/2009

We were with NA Animal Hospital for a number of years and left briefly for another vet. We were very disappointed with the cost and care we received and went back to NA. They are great folks with reasonable prices ad provide practical care. Pros: Very Caring more

Turned Their Back on the needy dog 5/7/2009

The folks and Dr were great and kind regarding my dog. The problem I had was when I found a very skinny dehydrated dog that needed help, they would not take her and used the excuse that she might have an infectious decease! Well aren't they a hospital? Don't many dogs that they see have infectious issues? If that is such a larger concern with a stray and we all find a stray from time to time shouldn't they provide a special entrance or hours to care for that stray?! After all, I am a current client that wanted to provide care for the stray. I now take my dog to the Vet that welcomed the stray with open arms and even named the stray they loved her so much! more

Animal Hospital of New Albany (NA) Review 7/20/2007

Dr. Violet and her staff are top notch! We recently had to put our sweet little dog, Buster, to sleep after his system started to shut down. They were so supportive of our decision, and handled our painful decision with such warmth and care, they even went to the extent of sending a rose with a sympathy note, as well as a sympathy card, signed by the entire staff. They really do care at the Animal Hospital of NA. Thanks for caring about Buster so much! more

Nice vet but slipping/price increases 4/13/2007

I like Dr. Violet but we've noticed her prices slowly creeping up and there are issues with our dog that she ignored on previous visits that are now costly issues. These are issues that we felt were obvious and asked her about and she was non chalant about them. Now that we are possibly having to pay thousands of dollars, now she is right there wanting "the best care" for her. What about PREVENTATIVE care? I just don't have much confidence in the level of care there anymore and will be looking to take her elsewhere. more

great vets 9/2/2005

I love Dr. Violet at the Animal Hospital of New Albany. She is very caring yet professional. My dog is deaf and needs special attention and she does such a great job with him. She has good recommendations for training and care, and is willing to answer any other questions I might have. They also do overnight boarding here for just $12/day. more
