This place has been around for over fifty years, and that fact by itself should tell you they know what they are doing to be around that long in the camera business. The store is huge, and you can find almost any accessory or add on for most major brands in stock; if they don't have it, they can get it for you. The service is great and even though they are usually busy I have never had to wait long before someone assists me. The prices are reasonable, but you probably could find better bargains online or on ebay, but if you want or need something right now, then this is the place to go. more

Nelson Photo Supply has a large selection of camera supplies and accessories. The prices are less than competitive and if you look hard enough you can find the same items for cheaper elsewhere. However, the staff are really knowledgable and helpful. The one thing that impressed me the most was their huge selection of telephoto lenses, and some of these were on clearance at bargain prices. In general, this is a good camera supply store if you need something right away and don't want to wait for the best deal of the century to come along. more

A few years ago as a photography novice who didn’t know much about the supply terms, I felt embarrassed to walk into a photo supply store to ask for the stuff that I needed. I pictured that there would be a lot of question marks above the clerks when I tried to describe something. Also, as a poor student, I needed to find the balance between my budge and quality of the products. I have no ideas about where to go to get my supply at first. I figured wherever the Art Store (Blick ) located, there would always have other professional stores open around. I started to flash back in memory and thought that I saw a Nelson Photo Supply’s sign with business hours in front of the door adjacent to the Art Store once after I got my art supplies. I decided only to give it a shot; however, nowadays, I still go to them when I need my supplies. People who works there are pretty helpful and don’t give the look as I am dumb in photography. They sell larger quantity, for example, the print papers were packaged in 100 sheets per box, which is cheaper than 50 sheets per box that sells in other stores. There are clerks served in almost every counter, so customers can always ask someone else when the lady in front of you ask a lot of questions. more
