Best Italian Food in Redding! 12/28/2005

Nello's has a very extensive menu with traditional Italian dishes including Veal, Pasta, and Seafood and one of the best Filet Mignon steaks in the North State. I highly recommend their Scallops Dore and Scampi. Their Pasta's and red sauce are excellent. Pros: Excellent Food Cons: Decor more

Perfect for a special occasion 12/4/2005

The food at Nello's is outstanding. The service is similarly great. The atmosphere is cozy and can be romantic if that's what you're looking for. It is one of the more expensive restaurants in town, but is what you'd expect for italian food of this quality. It's a great choice for a special occasion, such as a birthday or the prom. more

  • Early in 1980 we came to Redding to retire and couldnt find a good local Italian restaurant. So with Tomiko my wife, and son Michael, daughters Rose and Gina, we opened a small gourmet Italian restaurant. Many years later Nellos has become a landmark from Seattle to San Diego.
