The Neil Simon is yet another theatre owned by the Nederlanders. It has been named for one of New York's favorite sons since 1983. The theatre itself has been around since at least the 1930s when it was the home of some of the Gershwins' best shows (including the premiere of PORGY & BESS). Currently, the Simon hosts HAIRSPRAY! If you are having trouble finding the box office on 52nd Street between 8th Avenue & Broadway, just look for the enormous, glittery aerosol can. You can't miss it. Ticketmaster runs this box office. If you get tickets at TKTS too close to curtain, prepare to hoof it those 5 blocks to the theatre! more
