AMAZING experience with Neil Gates Photography! 2/20/2014

I recently opened a small business in Lisle, IL specializing in luxury and custom-made wedding invitations. I reached out to Neil to photograph my products for use on my website, and had a really great experience! Neil is so creative and knowledgeable, and incredibly easy to work with. He really went out of his way to make sure that I was 100% happy with each and every shot (understanding that these product photos would be the focal point of my website). He carefully crafted every shot, ensuring that the lighting and angles were perfect! I'm in love with my photos and can't wait to work with him again as I create new designs and add new offerings to my website. Great Pictures 1/4/2014

We used Neil for our August wedding in downtown Chicago. Right from the start, we clicked with Neil and felt as though he understood what we wanted in a wedding photographer. He was on time, courteous, and had some good ideas about particular poses throughout the day. We went to 2 different locations to take pictures with the wedding party in addition to at the venue. Neil gave some suggestions as to some shots he thought would look good, but was not overbearing. He got us our proofs within 48 hours, which were beautiful. He captured so many amazing moments, and did a really great job making sure we got all the pictures we wanted with friends and family. We love the pictures and look at them often. Even beyond being such a good photographer, the best compliment we can pay Neil is to say what a nice and regular person he is. It is so important to be able to communicate with and feel a comfort level with your photographer that we are very confident that others would have a similar experience with Neil because of the person that he is. We highly recommend Neil! more

What can we say...WOW! 10/28/2013

There is a ton my wife and I could say about Neil, but it would be WAY too much for us to post here. Neil is not only the best photographer we have come across, but also a fantastic person. From beginning to end, he didn't treat us as just a job...he treated us as friends. He was patient, gave us some very helpful insight for our wedding, and went out of his way to make sure we have what WE wanted. He made sure the photos he took wer the shots we had in our heads, as goofy as they may have been at times. His was always friendly, helpful, and responsive to our inquiries. He turned our photos around quickly so we could enjoy immediately. The day of our wedding he was there for every moment and captured every shot we could have dreamed of. His personality is amazing. Just a joy to work with. He will be our phtographer of choice in the future. You will be thrilled with his work, his attitude, his personality, and his attention to detail! more

HEIRLOOM QUALITY 9/17/2013

THEY SAY A PICTURE IS WORTH A THOUSAND WORDS AND THAT IS BECAUSE WORDS COULD NOT TRULY EXPRESS A WORK DONE BY NEIL! THE PORTRAIT HE TOOK OF MY DAUGHTER IS OF HEIRLOOM QUALITY. THE PHOTOGRAPH IS STUNNING. HE MADE A CURRENT PORTRAIT LOOK LIKE IT WAS TAKEN BACK AT THE TURN OF THE CENTURY, WHICH IS WHAT I REQUESTED. I COULDN'T BE MORE PLEASED. Neil is an excellent photographer, creative and very professional. 9/3/2013

My daughter hired Neil to take photos at my 80th birthday party which consisted of a two hour sail followed by a dinner at a local restaurant. The next day we had proofs and an eight minute video of many of his shots. They are really good. We have sent an e-mail of the video to all of our guests and have received rave reviews. I have thanked my daughter for finding Neil. more

In a word: Wow! 9/3/2013

Neil took a family photograph for us last year and it was a wonderful experience all the way through the sitting. But when we got the proofs, we had a problem: we liked them ALL! It was a very hard choice!! What an amazing problem to have! Then this month we needed a photographer for my dad's 80th birthday party. It was short notice, but Neil was enthusiastic. At the party, he was so unobtrusive that we were surprised at how many wonderful photos he had taken! He captured the entire two-venue day in a way we never could have imagined -- and presented the photos in a really awesome video format that we were able to share with our guests. We are all so grateful to have such a special memento of this milestone event! We want to plan another party just so Neil can photograph it! more

Excellent Service!!!! 8/27/2012

My husband and I used Neil Gates Photography for our wedding and we are absolutely THRILLED with the results. He was so easy and fun to work with and captured every moment of our special day. The service was excellent and we received an email from Neil the very next day after our wedding with a link to view the photos!! I was shocked at the quick turnaround time. I will use Neil again and I would refer him to anyone looking for a great photographer! more

Gifted photographer 8/14/2012

We have gone to Neil for baby and mommy portraits for each of our four children. The process is easy and the final results are amazing. One of our children was fussy and he was patient and still produced several great photos of her. He has a way of capturing the emotional bond, not just the physical image. When guests come to our home we receive more compliments on the newborn photos than any artwork in our home. He is a gifted photographer and artist. more

Great Pictures, Wonderful Experience 3/16/2012

We were fortunate enough to find Neil somewhat by accident for our oldest daughter's wedding. Now that our second daughter is being married we would not think of having anyone else. He was so nice to work with, very unobtrusive, and the end result was a work of art. You will not go wrong by hiring Neil, and like us, be thrilled with the result. more

Neil has taken 'Mommy and Me' photos for each of my three sons shortly after they were each born. We loved the experience and love the photos even more. To have the special baby photos as they are getting older is priceless! more

We have worked with Neil Gates Photography on a number of things over the course of many years. He took baby and toddler photos of my kids, he has taken family photos and senior photos of those same kids. He will likely take photos at their weddings, too!
