Nehalem Bay State Park is one of the many reasons to visit the Oregon coast. The park provides a relaxing place to camp for the night with an extra long stretch of beach for those romantic moonlight walks. If you can manage a 1.75 mile walk, be sure to also hike the “spit” that juts out into the bay. The views are fabulous and the wildlife brave. Our dog even swam out into the ocean and attracted some seals to swim with! The waves are particularly gentle on the bay side and great for young ones to play in.
