This is a truly unique store. 8/18/2005

I love this store. This store is truly unique in that it offers a wide variety of food and gift items that are made right here in Nebraska. Not only can you find some great gifts for others in this store I have found and tried numerous food items that are made here in Nebraska that I would have probably never gotten the opportunity to try otherwise. This is a great way for the people of Nebraska to get their products marketed for people to try. This store gives me a great sense of pride in the state that I live in and for the people that produce these wonderful items. more

NE is the Feature here 7/14/2005

The store has a wide variety of items from specialty foods which are made in NE to crafts and artistic endeavors to an excellent selection of books about NE or by NE authors. If you wish to sample items which they have, the staff is usually most accommodating about letting you try items and they almost always have some items featured to try. They do not rush you, you can browse to your hearts content but when you need assistance, they are always ready to help. more

Good local store with unqiue items 6/30/2005

This store offers only products made in Nebraska. So it's a great store for supporting NE businesses. They have unique one of a kind items like kaleidoscopes made by local artists, homemade candles and soaps, etc. They also have a nice selection of state wide food items. They will let you sample just about anything in the store. They have frequent events like having a local artist or author come in and talk about what they do, or have signings, etc. It's a great place for tourists or to take family when they come to town, for the Hastings natives. more
