Nationwide gave me a flat rate price which they honored. They were prompt and courteous. My goods arrived undamaged and all intact. I've delt with other moving companies who scamm...

We hired this company to move our entire house. On the phone, the price was $827, but the final bill was $1358.

The service was outstanding from beginning to end. The customer representative was extremely helpful and guided us through the process. The furniture was wrapped very well and fragile items packed with care. The crew worked well into the evening to finish the job, carrying large pieces of furniture down steep steps and onto that truck with ease. The delivery went equally as well. The furniture was unloaded, put together and placed in record time---in record heat. The drivers and workers on both ends of the move were curteous and professional. The price was reasonable. Great Job!!! more

Fair pricing--needs some better coordination 8/9/2011

Phone call set up, and on line contract of price per cubic food was fair and right up front. I increased my load twice before pickup and the price didn't overly increase. I was very pleased on how all my possessions were carefully wrapped and packed. Our touring bicycles weren't wrapped and they needed adjustments after delivery before they could be used. more

We moved my Mother from Delray Beach to Voorhees, NJ in April of this year. I was thoroughly impressed with how Nationwide Van Lines handled the move. Racheal handled all of the details with enthusiasm and preciseness and communicated with us at every step. Excellent Customer Service! more

Great Experience 8/8/2011

The move experience was very smooth and professional from beginning starting with my move counselor, to the guys that packed and loaded the truck in Delaware. They arrived as expected, and were effective, efficient and very sociable. The entire process was explained to me and how every item would be tagged for the inventory They quickly loaded the truck and were on there way. My belongings arrived within a week at exactly the time I was told. They quickly unloaded the truck and assembled the beds, tables, etc and were on there way. It was a total pleasure dealing with everyone from start to finish. I know I made the right choice in choosing Nationwide, they made relocating my belongings stress-less. I would definitely use them again, and would not hesitate to recommend them to friends and family. more

Very bad experience with this company 7/29/2011

We moved from CT to MD the end of June. We'd sent a list of the items we had to be moved and went back and forth with Elaina. The price went from around 3k to about 7k. When they started packing, I think it was her that called me and said they needed about 2,500.00 to start the process. I didn't understand what the figure was but I went ahead and authorized it. I thought they only needed half to start but this was more than half of what we were quoted. There were three people in total to pack a house (and one of them was from the labor ready place up the street from our house). On the Sunday they were to deliver the items to MD, I got a call that they needed an amount that was beyond what could be deducted from my account in a single day. I called and tried to explain this to the person and they said that if they didn't get the money, they would have to hold our items and we would have to pay an additional 1,200.00 (which I didn't have). I was fortunate to have someone who heard me crying after all of this to help us out so they could deliver our items to the apartment. We'd gone to the BBB site but I guess as long as someone pays them, they can get a pretty good review. They have a B rating and I don't understand why that is. The BBB doesn't mean what it used to mean. They had the nerve to leave a card to recommend them to others - I don't think so after the stress your company put us through. more

Lazy And Unpolished Movers, Wont Recommend 5/25/2011

Our move was characterized by poor service from the driver and moving team. The work was just lazy and unpolished. We paid for professionals but did not get anything close. I have a hard time fathoming that this is a professional company. more

staff was extremely helpful and professional from my first inquiry into a move from Florida to New York. The follow through was very successful and in the same manner as indicated above. Circumstances in New York changed unexpectedly, nationwide staff, took care of the abrupt change in plans, and my possessions were rerouted and received in very good condition. The actual movers at pick-up and arrival were efficient and very courteous. All said, job well-done. more

Caring and Understanding 5/11/2011

After my mother passed I was tasked with packing and moving personal memorabilia which included a yarn shop (200 boxes of yarn.) looking for a way to get this load from Vermont to South Carolina was something I had never had encountered, I had only moved myself. When I contacted Nationwide I was shocked at the compassion that Philippe showed. I had to explain what a yarn shop was but once all was understood about the load he gave me a quote and we booked a date for the pickup. When the driver Izzik called and said he was an hour away I was surprised (he was a day early) but it was fine I was ready and waiting. I couldn't have asked for a more polite and efficient crew than Izzik and his co worker. never experiencing a long distance move before I was amazed at how fast it all happened. The delivery was a little more difficult because they had to park at the end of the driveway and walk back and forth though it was humid and hot, Michael was very positive and kept a great attitude. all the furniture arrived in great shape due to great padding from the pick team. more

MOVE 4/20/2011

Like any move it was stressfull. But not to bad. With the exception of being late with my pickup(VERY LATE) the rest of the move went OK. The best part of the move was my rep Kevin Shaw. Not only was he very helpfull with inforamtion on how best to make this move but also very knowageable on all aspects of moving. I am giving Nationwide a 5 star review but it is only because of Kevin THANKS BUDDY more

Unreliable and dishonest moving company 4/20/2011

Moving was magical!!!! 4/14/2011

After only hearing that dealing with movers was stressful at least I feel like I must haves moved in another dimension. I had NO problems...NO delays...NO...lack of information...NO misunderstandings. The first person I dealt with was Kevin Shaw on the phone, who got my business because he kept in touch with me from my first contact last Fall, until I was ready to move in March. Then the movers came...Jose and his crew, who got started without delay and made so little noise during that daqy that I couldn't believe I was actually being moved. Jose got me through the paperwork very easily,and made sure I understood everything I was signing. There were no surprises because Kevin had also explained everything very well. Nobody was rushing and they all seemed to know exactly what they were doing. Gideon Guy called me while this was going on to make sure everything was OK, made me feel really good about the company I was dealing with. I could see everything was packed carefully in the truck, and then they were on their way. Now, EVERYONE said I'd be waiting in Maine for my stuff to show up, but instead I was hoping that a big snowstorm in Maine wouldn't keep me from being there when they were due. I was in Connecticut ready to drive on April 1 (no foolin') and found out on the phone that Jose was leaving from Rhode Island and would be at my address in Maine Saturday afternoon 4/2. I got there 3:30pm Friday and Jose was there with his crew Saturday at 1pm. Then they proceeded to bring all my stuff in through the VERY MUDDY yard here and were done by 3pm. They had had to unload my stuff from the big truck to a smaller truck to get into my mobile home village, so I know they had to be tired already. The move was over and it was completely painless. I always knew exactly what I owed when, and nobody ever made me wait for anything. I've spoken to Gideon twice since then, and I hope I made it clear how great this all went. I'll even talk to people who want proof I'm real. My dog and cat didn't even get stressed during the undertaking. Thank you again. Mary Theriault . more
