The National Park Aquarium is located in the heart of downtown Hot Springs, so it's not too far of a walk if you are meandering the spa district. It's inexpensive so you don't have to worry about over-paying. The place is located in a renovated housing/business area so basically it looks like a big house carved into the side of bedrock. It is very small and it's not going to meet up to your expectations if you have been to various other aquariums around the United States. However, the kids do love it. They are able to see all kinds of exotic fish and reptiles, along with one very large turtle. It's a quite respite from a long hot day of walking around Hot Springs, stop in if only for a couple of minutes.
