Nation

Nation puts on great shows and has very good club nights, however it's sucess is hindered by it's location. There is a parking lot on site for $10, but the club is hard to find. It is walking distance from the metro, but I would definitely not go alone. There is plenty of space inside and occasionally outdoor events in the summer, and there is always something going on during the weekends. more

This is a great fun club! I went here to attend a Simple Plan concert on a Saturday night, and I loved the club's architecture. It provides a balcony which can be used for viewing during concerts. The general admission space is pretty big for a club, and very long length wise as well. Highly recommended for going to shows!! more

I believe Nation's most popular night is Alchemy, hosted on Thursdays. However they have other themed nights to chose from, non of which I really got into. There is a coat check when the season allows for it. $7 a head on non-show nights and 2-1 prices before 9 as well as an open bar for the first hour of opening. There are several areas inside Nation to venture through, like new rooms upstairs or catching some air outside on the great deck. There are 2 main floors one to each side. There is one more for general hanging with a small dance floor and the adjacent floor has a huge dance floor with lighting effects and occasional fog. There are 3 bars to choose from and Nation is an 18+ age venue. If you like Alchemy then you have to keep open to seasonal events as Spooky for Halloween, well known around the DC club scene. more
