We live maybe 100 yards from Natick Appliance and are having the same problem as Joseph B. above. We were not made aware of any $85 service fee until after the repairman came to our house and told us there was something stuck in the lint trap (which we already knew and was the reason for our call). The repairman did not remove the item from the lint trap, we removed it ourselves and the repairman was at our house for less than 5 minutes. He then told us of the $85 service call fee and we got out our checkbook. The repair man then REFUSED payment at the time of service and said WE were to drop payment off at their Main Street location. This company is extremely unprofessional and it is crazy to be charged $85 for them to come down the street and tell us what we already knew. If they removed the item, it would be a different story, however since they did not, I don't think it's fair to be charged such a ridiculous fee. Not to mention that this fee is not mentioned anywhere on their website and we were made aware of the fee after they already came to our house. I believe the way they conduct their business is very unprofessional and we feel deceived and taken advantage of. We are also being sued by this company in small claims court like Joseph B. above is. Avoid this company at all costs unless you want to be charged outlandish fees for minimal service. more

We live in Wellesley and my wife called Natick Appliance to come look at our washer. A technician arrives and tells us that it will cost $450 to fix. The machine was over 10 year old and certainly not worth repairing at that rate. I thanked the repairman for his estimate. Then, he writes me up a bill for $85 for coming all the way out to Wellesley to look at my washing machine. Hey, if they told me in advance that I would be charged for a repair estimate then I would have expected it and paid right away. However, with no warning to charge me $85 for 5 minutes of a repair man's time, that ridiculous. To add insult to injury, Natick Appliance is now suing me in small claims court to recover $85. I'm sorry but avoid this company at all cost. Also, if you've fallen prey to this bait and switch scheme, please contact me. I'm thinking of counter-suing. more

friendly service, good selection 1/19/2011

Natick Appliance has been my choice of stores whenever I have needed an appliance. The selection of appliances is good with varying price points. The sales people are knowledgable and are not pushy. Natick Appliance is more like a neighborhood store and not a mega superchain. I have always had a good experience and would highly recommend. more
