We live in Wellesley and my wife called Natick Appliance to come look at our washer. A technician arrives and tells us that it will cost $450 to fix. The machine was over 10 year old and certainly not worth repairing at that rate. I thanked the repairman for his estimate. Then, he writes me up a bill for $85 for coming all the way out to Wellesley to look at my washing machine. Hey, if they told me in advance that I would be charged for a repair estimate then I would have expected it and paid right away. However, with no warning to charge me $85 for 5 minutes of a repair man's time, that ridiculous. To add insult to injury, Natick Appliance is now suing me in small claims court to recover $85. I'm sorry but avoid this company at all cost. Also, if you've fallen prey to this bait and switch scheme, please contact me. I'm thinking of counter-suing.
