Simply The Best 1/21/2012

Dr. Waldrup and his staff are among the very best I have had the privilege to know. Most recently one of my cats of 14 years was so physically debilitated that I had no choice but to euthanize him. The entire office was so kind and sympathetic it made the passing just a little better. I have lived in many parts of the country and now live in Bellevue and can say that never have I been treated better. It is never easy losing a loved pet but I feel blessed indeed to call The Nashville Cat Clinic my veterinary service. Thank YOU! more

Compassionate, knowledgable care. 6/30/2011

Over the past seven years that I have lived in Nashville, Dr. Waldrop has cared for two of my chronically ill cats (furkids). I drove all the way from Bellevue for his services because he was so kind and thorough with the care he gave them. His office staff have always been friendly and helpful. Sadly, after much time and many different strategies, my female cat's illness became unmanageable. Our last hour together was spent in a comfortable, quiet room alone at the clinic. They gave me all the time I needed to say goodbye to my friend. I will never forget their kindness and compassion. Unfortunately, my male cat lost his battle with kidney disease recently. He was unable to make the trip back to Dr. Waldrop's office but they afforded him a good quality of life for many years. The services are expensive but the expertise and compassion are worth it to me. Same day test results with thorough explanations are the norm and therefore treatments can begin much sooner than at other clinics. I also was appreciative of the ""cat only"" facility. A quiet, comfortable environment was a must for my skittish cat. more

Nashville Cat Clinic 2/16/2011

I took my baby KC to Dr Waldrop for 17+ years and never once had a bad experience. I placed my trust in Dr W to do the very best by KC and he kept him healthy and happy for many years. I recently had to let KC go, and all of the staff at The Nashville Cat Clinic proved once again why this is the only Vet I will use for my precious friends. Although, a very hard experience they made it just a little easier for me. If you love your cat, this is the best place to see to his healthy and happy years with you! more

Sad Experience 12/9/2010

I have taken several cats to this clinic for 17 years and always did everything Dr. Waldrop recommended. He insisted on an EKG (heart scan) as part of each annual exam. But when one result showed a problem he said it could be a fluke. The recheck in three weeks was not good. Again, he did nothing. Two months later, my precious kitty was in end-stage heart failure. Waldrop sent a substitute vet who was working that day to talk to me; he would not even look me in the eye. I feel he was so concerned with moving into his new fancy office he had forgotten why he became a vet. The staff is rude if the very high charges are questioned. The last day I was there, they overcharged me more than $100 for his care; the substitute vet caught it.\r At the end, I had to wait four days for an appointment. Their sign out front should read "WE KILL CATS". more

Nashville Cat Clinic is the BEST! 8/20/2009

I have been taking my cats to the Nashville Cat Clinic for the past 17 years. They are some of the kindest most genuine staff I have ever met. They always treat me and my cats with the utmost respect and I could not imagine taking my cats anywhere else. They have saved three of my cats from very difficult illnesses. I think if they had been anywhere else they would not have made it. I recommend them to everyone I know. If you have a cat you should definitely take them to Dr. Waldrop or Dr. Ross. They are the best for your feline friends. more

BEWARE - clinic uses students !!!! 8/18/2008

They injured my cat while doing a procedure and a month later I had to have him put to sleep because of what was done at this clinic. I will NEVER take a cat here again. Had they advised me of what they did I could have saved my cats life but they pretended everything was fine. I feel like I have lost my child and don't know if I will ever recover! Please do yourself a favor and stay as far away from this place as you can. more

AMAZING doctors and staff. Compassionate and trustworthy every time. 6/29/2006

I have been taking my cats to Dr. Waldrop since 1997 and have to say that he is the most compassionate doctor that I have ever met. I live a good ways from the clinic now but travel to get there. I would not even consider taking my cats anywhere else. He has taken time to listen in person and numerous times on the phone to my concerns. I recently had my best friend of 9 years put to sleep, and Dr. Waldrop put me at ease with a terribly difficult decision. I couldn't imagine anyone but Dr. Waldrop and his caring staff caring for my cats. Their office is friendly and cat-safe (no barking dogs or loud commotion) and they always treat my pets as if they were their own. Take the time to check out the Nashville Cat Clinic if you haven't. They have hearts of gold. Pros: Atmosphere, Caring and friendly staff, flexible hours more

Wonderful and caring 6/21/2006

I had called my previous vet, Petmed when I had a problem with my cat. I came home from work and he was sneezing up a storm. I called up Pet med and they could not have been ruder, or less sensitive. I asked what I could do for him until I can bring him in, and they just kept saying ""bring him in"" translation, we're not getting paid to consult over the phone. So, I got on City Search, and found the Nashville Cat Clinic. I called them up, said I am not a client there, but I needed help. The lady I spoke with could not have been nicer, or more caring. She talked with me for about 20 minutes about not just the issue, but she let me tell her how I adopted my baby when he was abandoned , and then she understood how special he is to me. I set an appointment and immediately called up Pet Med and transferred my business. I am writing this not even having set foot in the clinic, and already I am raving about them. If you need any help with your cat, call this company. They are exactly what a vet should be, wonderful and caring. more

User review by pnsmith 3/24/2006

I highly recommend The Nashville Cat Clinic. The doctors are highly skilled and they seem to realy care about the animals they treat. After moving accross town, I took my cats to another vet and I was not satisfied, so I decided to come back to the clinic where I know my cats will receive the best treatment possible. more

I have a cat that has been very ill during his course of life with various long term diseases. We have moved repeatedly and have had on two seperate occasions had vets recommend putting our cat to sleep. Dr. Waldrop, both times, has been able to treat the cat and make appropriate recommendations that has saved our cats life. In both cases, simple small doses of meds was all that was required. Dr. W has proven knowledgeable about the latest treatments and understands the importance of our pets in our lives. If it wasn't for Dr W., we wouldn't have had our pet to enjoy all these years, and he's let a happy life. Whenever possible, I drive many many many miles to see Dr. W vs visiting another vet. He's also been wonderful about speaking with me long distance regarding continued care and progress. I can't recommend him enough!! Pros: Goes the xtra mile, very knowledgeable more

There should be an investigation 9/15/2005

This clinic put my cat to sleep for an illness I found out from another vet could have been cured!! I'll never forget what this clinic did. I tried to speak to them about it, but they spoke harsh to me when all I did was ask questions. PROS: CONS: Class action anyone? more

horrible 9/15/2005

I took my cat in to Nashville Cat Clinic to get a haircut, but he came out with razor burn and cuts all over his body!!! I was completely horrified. I took pictures and brought them in, and they were very rude to me. I cried for days about this, and I haven't even gotten a refund. PROS: CONS: this is abuse of the worst kind more
