Great Small Theater 8/17/2005

This theater is located in the Ghent business district of Norfolk, and the theater itself gives you a very old school feel. The theater usually plays smaller films to try to support the independent film makers. You can always catch movies there at very cheap prices, I would recommend watching a movie here over a theater that does not have stadium seating, plus you get the old school atmosphere if that means anything to you. more

Small Theaters are Still the best! 6/26/2005

The Naro in downtown Norfolk is truly a gem. It is an old theater that still hosts movies on a regular basis. The wonderful thing about the Naro is that they usually only play independent films there versus big blockbuster hits, so it draws a nice crowd. Also their snacks and drinks are good and MUCH cheaper than the big theaters. There is a balcony so you can sit up high if you like. The Naro is definitely a fun place to see a movie and the perfect spot to take a date on a Friday night. more
