Most Terrible, Awful experience we had today.\r Please avoid this restaurant at any cost if you are looking for a nice evening time with your loved ones.\r This place is too congested and the worst customer service you could ever get anywhere.\r Extremely RUDE staff. Food is raw and they don't mind serving cold breads.\r No Welcoming gestures.\r I wont go there again EVER. more

Healthy yet DELICIOUS 5/22/2012

I really love the fact that here you can enjoy a light, healthy and authentic Indian meal\r for a reasonable price. My girlfriends and I went for the lunch buffet the other day and\r I was so impressed. First of all, the naan was absolutely amazing. Second, the lunch buffet was only $15 and the quality of the food was well worth the price. . I was also thrilled to learn that the restaurant uses yogurt instead of the traditional heavy crèmes\r on many of their dishes. When I left I felt full and satisfied, but not bloated or\r stuffed. It was such an enjoyable meal and I will be back. more

Great Experience 5/22/2012

I had heard a lot about Narin?s from people at work so I decided to take my wife the other evening for an authentic Indian meal. We were a little skeptical because we didn?t really know what to expect from an upscale Indian restaurant. Either way, we were glad we went. The food was excellent and affordable, the staff was friendly and efficient and the atmosphere was quiet and enjoyable. Plus, the location is great for a date night, since there is so many options in the area. We were especially fond of the Salmon Tikka, which my wife ordered and shared with me. Also, the bread was fresh and warm. We both found it to be a great experience at our first purely Indian restaurant. more

By-far the best Indian food 5/22/2012

I went to Bombay Brasserie the other day for the first time and I was pleasantly surprised. The naan was brought out to the table immediately and was fresh and delicious?. The waiter was polite and checked in on us regularly. I ordered the Tandoori Chicken, which was absolutely amazing. This is by-far the best Indian food that I have ever had. more

great food 5/17/2012

Discovered this place by accident. I was actually trying to meet a friend in the area and got lost so he ended up meeting me where I was, which happened to be next to Bombay. I've tried indian food a few times and was never ""wowed"" by the experience but figured since we were already in the parking lot i figured, heck why not give it a try? So glad that we did! My buddy and I had some of the best food we've ever had at Narin's. It's a nice restaurant but not overpriced! Highly recommend it! more

WONDERFUL 5/11/2012

went for lunch. amazing. best indian food i have EVER had. I frequent India often for business and this still beats anything I have ever had over there. They also have great prices. My wife isn't a big indian food fan but every now and then she will give in and go with me. Having never been to this restaurant before, it has turned her into an indian food lover! The service was great. It was a buffet during our lunch but the wait staff still came around and checked to see if we needed anything! We definitely will be back VERY soon! I will also be taking my clients there for dinners as well! more

TERRIBLE RIP OFF! OWNER CHEATED GROUP INTO $410 BILL 5/5/2012

absolute rip-off, owner is terrible, cheated group into $410 bill, and only gave us half of our food!!!!!\r first, we're all indian and know the value of our food, what our food was worth for 12 people was altogether no more than $150 total (including tip).\r the owner tried to up-sell us on everything, was extremely pushy and we ended up ordering for the entire table 2 of the "bombay feasts" and 2 of the "tandoori feasts" that were each $49, yes, that's right $49. so for $200, you expect it to feed 12 people right? wrong! this guy is a con artist!!!!!\r the owner tried to combine plates to give us less food, we should have received 4 dishes of each, instead we received one or two plates each and were told he "combined them into one plate"\r we received our two orders of the "tandoori feast" (remember this cost $49 each, so it's a $100). what do we get? one plate, yes, one plate of tandoori chicken with about 8 pieces of meat on it. that's a $100 plate of tandoori chicken that anywhere els more

TERRIBLE, RIP-OFF, HALF FOOD, CHEATED GROUP INTO $410 BILL 5/4/2012

ABSOLUTE RIP-OFF, OWNER IS TERRIBLE, CHEATED GROUP INTO $410 BILL, AND ONLY GAVE US HALF OF OUR FOOD!!!!! First, we're all Indian and KNOW the value of our food, what our food was worth for 12 people was altogether no more than $150 TOTAL (INCLUDING TIP). The owner tried to up-sell us on EVERYTHING, was extremely pushy and we ended up ordering for the entire table 2 of the ""BOMBAY FEASTS"" and 2 of the ""TANDOORI FEASTS"" that were each $49, yes, that's right $49. So for $200, you expect it to feed 12 people right? WRONG! THIS GUY IS A CON ARTIST!!!!! THE OWNER TRIED TO COMBINE PLATES TO GIVE US LESS FOOD, WE SHOULD HAVE RECEIVED 4 DISHES OF EACH, INSTEAD WE RECEIVED ONE OR TWO PLATES EACH AND WERE TOLD HE ""COMBINED THEM INTO ONE PLATE"" WE RECEIVED OUR TWO ORDERS OF THE ""TANDOORI FEAST"" (REMEMBER THIS COST $49 EACH, SO IT'S A $100). WHAT DO WE GET? ONE PLATE, YES, ONE PLATE OF TANDOORI CHICKEN WITH ABOUT 8 PIECES OF MEAT ON IT. THAT'S A $100 PLATE OF TANDOORI CHICKEN THAT ANYWHERE ELSE WOULD HAVE COST $15 AT THE MOST!!!!!!! WE PAID $100 FOR A PLATE OF TERRIBLE TANDOORI CHICKEN! (THAT IS TWO TANDOORI FEASTS FOR $49 COMBINED AND PUT ON ONE PLATE, INSULTING TO SAY THE LEAST) WE ALSO DID NOT RECEIVE TWO ORDERS OF PRAWN CURRY, TWO ORDERS OF SAAG, OR THE TWO EXTRA ORDERS OF CHICKEN TIKKA. INSTEAD HE POINTED TO A SINGLE PORTION OF CURRY AND SAID.... ""I COMBINED THE TWO ORDERS INTO ONE."" OUTRAGEOUS. WHEN WE ASKED A WAITER, HE SAID ""NO, THAT IS ONLY ONE ORDER."" WE CONFRONTED THE OWNER AND HE JUST LIED. EVERYONE AT THE TABLE WAS OUTRAGED AND BECAUSE OF THE OWNER'S DISHONEST AND TASTELESS MOVE OF ""COMBINING"" OF DISHES AND GIVING US HALF IN AN ATTEMPT TO MAKE US ORDER MORE FOOD. FRUSTRATED, AFTER HE REFUSED TO BRING US WHAT WE ORDERED, WE HAD TO ORDER MORE DISHES TO GO AROUND. IT WAS ANGERING TO SAY THE LEAST AND WE ALL CONSIDERED WALKING OUT. IN THE END, THE BILL ENDED UP BEING NOT $200, BUT $400 AND THE OWNER DID NOT APOLOGIZE ONCE FOR CHARGING US AND COMBINING PLATES AND BRINGING US HALF THE FOOD. HE'S AN ABSOLUTE JERK. HE ALSO WENT AHEAD AND ADDED A $50 FLAT TIP TO THE BILL FOR HIMSELF, ABSOLUTE DISBELIEF. THIS GUY SHOULD FRY IN HELL. DO NOT GO HERE EVER. SERIOUSLY. BY THE WAY, THE FOOD ALSO SUCKED. WE ALL KNOW GOOD INDIAN FOOD, AND A DECENT PRICE. THIS PLACE WILL GIVE YOU NEITHER AND THE OWNER IS A TOP NOTCH A**HOLE. more

SERVICE SUCKS! 1/18/2010

This was our first time going to this one because we usually go to the rice village location. The food was better than average but the naan was burnt (which I guess isnt that big of a deal) but the service was HORRIBLE! They are very unfriendly and we even had multiple waiters coming and going to our table and each and everyone one of them were not nice. We also noticed preferential treatment was given to certain people and you can tell some people were definately treated better...which I guess wouldn't have bothered me if it was a cheap restaurant. But I got cheap service from the ""high quality"" restaurant. We also ordered drinks from the bar and they tasted like they didn't even put any alcohol or were trying to be cheap about it. Either way, I don't recommend ordering from the bar unless you're ordering beer or wine. It's a waste. Pros: food is better than average Cons: quality of service more

Narin's Bombay Brasserie is worth a try 8/23/2009

Worth the drive 6/20/2009

I took a couple of guests visiting Houston from London. My London guests were accostomed to high quality Indian food and they were not dissapointed by Narins. Pros: Excellent service, authentic food prep Cons: location can be hard to find more

Delicious Indian Cuisine, lovely atmosphere 1/6/2009

This restaurant is nicely decorated, with a really pleasant atmosphere. The staff is extremely courteous and attentive. The food is excellent and would be a great place to take a first-timer to try all the dishes. Although all of the dishes were a bit ""Americanized""...not spicy whatsoever. I will definitely come back! Wonderful lunch buffet! Pros: great food, nice atmosphere Cons: none! more
