Narconon of Georgia saved my life. I had tried many times to get clean before attending Narconon, and it never worked. I'd relapse right after or during my program. When I came to Narconon, I was broken. I had tried twelve step before, there was nothing wrong with it, it was great, but it didn't work for me. Narconon really showed me how to live a better life. When I entered Narconon I was totally a lost soul. I had tried many programs that didn't work. How could a fifth rehab show light at the end of my dark tunnel?? This place truly did. I had been told I was depressed, bipolar and an alcoholic for the past five years. Guess what.... I am none of these! My family and I choose Narconon because of a different approach and it worked. I am a confident woman now and Narconon showed me how to become this way. I have been sober for a little over 7 &a half months and no longer taking any medications to make me feel ""normal."" The staff here taught me what I needed to see in myself to feel better. I was lucky and had a chance to work for Narconon after I graduated and this helped me transition slowly out of the program. I recently moved home and am feeling more confident that I ever have before. I didn't know if I could ever give up the meds. and the liquor because I thought it helped me with my problems. I kept slowly killing myself with hard street drugs for ten years. I tried attending Narcotics Anonymous meetings and I did two 30 day inpatient rehab programs run by the state. I finally almost died one day, and by some good fortune, I found Narconon of Georgia on the internet. I've been clean for over two years now with no effort and not even a second thought to do drugs. No more meetings or ""working a program"". Everything was handled right with some amazing techniques that Narconon teaches. I spent many years trying to find a way out of my addiction. I tried several 12 step rehabs and they did not work for me. I would be sober for a while and then I would slip up. When our family was looking for a program for Jen, we didn't care about anything, except, would the program work? After doing a lot of research, we decided that the Narconon program could probably work for Jen's crack addiction. She had tried a few other programs and really wasn't willing to try again until we convinced her that this approach was different. A couple of people tried to convince us that there was ""controversy"" about Narconon. However, saving Jen's life was the most important thing and we didn't find anything that made as much sense as the Narconon approach. We made that decision several years ago and Jen is still alive and doing well - a condition she probably would not be in, were it not for Narconon. What an incredible program! After witnessing plenty of unsuccessful drug and alcohol rehab programs, one finally has all of the correct elements. Get rid of the cravings AND rehabilitate the addict with workable life skills so he or she has the tools to handle life - and never has to revert to drugs as a solution again. \r \r If you need help, or know of someone who does, contact them immediately. After almost 25 years of alcohol and drug abuse i found myself at Narconon. I reasearced numerous other places but Narconon seemed to ""fit the bill"". It was reasonably priced, and addressed a variety of issuses i had going on in my life...and it worked. I went through trying to get myself off drugs, going to a faith based rehab, going to NA meetings, and none of those routes worked for me. My family did some research and found Narconon to be a program that didn't fall under 12 step or faith based rehabilitation, instead, it does something a bit different. It teaches each person the skills they need in life in order to live a sober, successful life. I graduated this program February of 2009.
